Circumstances forced Eddie into "discovering" joelinton was a midfielder. Circumstances today with injuries forced his hand again and won the game. It would be refreshing if we actually started with the right players and shape. Great commentary btw,you guys added to the whole experience brilliantly

David Moyes and Anthony Gordon saved Eddie Howe's job today!
The manager was woeful again but Moyes was even more pathetic. West Hams are absolutely livid and rightly so.
The bad:
- Eddie Howe subbing in Krafth when Hall was already available was a disaster. Just put the LB at the LB position and the CB as CB. How hard is it?
- Dubravka - make up your mind man, either come for the ball or stay on your line. First goal was at complete fault, and in the last minute he nearly gave the points up. Just play Karius at this point, he could not do worse.
- Longstaff - missed an absolute sitter when we were chasing the game after Miggy set him up with a golden chance. Too ponderous, too slow and watched as Pacqueta just play a glorious ball over the top. Put a fucking tackle in for a change.
The good:
- Lewis Hall - played brilliantly both going forward and in defence. The LB position should be his.
- Bruno - Run his socks off and battled in the midfield. Great shot that cannoned off the bar.
- Anderson, screamed at Longstaff for being too slow. Finally someone had to take charge and tell it like it is. He brought energy and drove us forward.
- Barnes- great finishes and won the game for us.
- Isak: nerves of steel and great through ball. Could have done better after Miggy set him up with a golden chance. Shanked it wide lazily.
The best:
Anthony, magic, Gordon! Without him this club would be lost in the lower half of the table. Clever, industrious, works hard and gives his all. Easily our player of the season. He would be a miss for the Everton game. Not even mad about the red card. The ref was just out of his depth.
West Ham fan here. Credit to you boys today. Fantastic rally. So pissed off with Moyes at present. All the best.

EH's first sub (when Lascelles was injured) was odd ... BDB to CB and bring on Hall would have been the logical choice, but bringing on Krafth and moving Tino to LB just disturbed the back line too much. However the subsequent changes were spot on. 👍
Yes that decision was an odd one to me too even putting krath at cb and keeping burn at lb would of been more logical imo

Was in the Gallowgate and when the 4th went in every was jumping up and down hugging and the stand was shaking. It was like when we scored against PSG. The link up play between Hall Anderson Bruno and Barnes was first class. Gordon kept trying and succeeding all game. Isak some of his lay offs and spins were also top notch. Kudos was playing really well but when Hall came on he had him in his pocket. Barnes had 4 shots everyone on target and his second goal was a peach.
Paul your celebration for the 4th goal has to be a super clip on the intro forever!

Barn s needs to start for me and I don't understand why he doesn't star Lewis hall let's hope we can keep pushing for Europe and we'll done to Eddie Howe for makeing the changes to a attacking formation

Big error by Howe when Lascelles went off and totally changed the back four. This resulted in them scoring. Forced changes worked to our advantage and fantastic fight back for deserved win

What a game. I'm very happy with Eddie for his decision to take krafth out after realizing he's horrible and actually a liability. I'm happy with Gordon too but also disappointed with the red card, that was stupid and unnecessary to kick the ball like that. Good performance overall.

Absolutely respect your opinion paul. To me our second pen wasn’t a pen. Playing from basically behind and throwing your foot in front doesn’t make it a foul. That’s just my opinion. Regardless an amazing win 🖤🤍

What a game wow we looked down and out at half time then the injuries but what a come back our invisible man Barnes came on that winning goal was a corker just hope injuries aren't as bad they looked
I think our 2nd pen was dodgy, but so was there 2nd goal with Schar having a head injury. We were the better team on the day, deserved win. More shots, more possession, more threat.

1- Made Eddie Howe hopeless and desperate therefore growing some balls and made necessary changes.
2- moyes then got scared and subbed his striker to contain Howe’s attacking subs throwing away his opportunity to punish our weak defense.
I thought the third goal would have killed us off. Thank god it didn't.

I can't remember the last time I saw 2 subs being subbed off before. Obviously 5 subs hasn't been around all that long. And I'm sure its happened. But honestly can't think of one.
Paul I felt unwell afterwards , I screamed the house down shouting and singing , I’m nackered like a day out at Alton towers again up down and around shaken all about, I watch it at home with my dad or on my own sometimes and I am now dead! Can’t believe it my voice has gone , I’m estatic , I think this will definitely help us get alot more wins for the rest of the season

Delighted with result. Eddie made up for his mistake with bringing on krafth by bringing him back up. Team was wrong in beginning and only for injury’s Eddie would not have put Barnes on. The players saved eddie today nothing more nothing less. Gordon is out for two games aswell and injury’s hope are not as bad as it looks
To be really honest i thought we were we down and out . But Eddie showed some balls for once and when he made the subs they were really hungry and Hall was outstanding abd Barnes showed his finishing class

Great result and game, but worried about possible Lacelles ACL, Tino ankle ligaments, Miggy knee ligaments so could have them out for rest of season. Praying 🙏 they are ok but who knows with our specialists and medical team.

EVERY TIME we bring on these young hungry lions - Hall, Barnes, Anderson, Livramento - and get rid of the dead wood - Almiron, Longstaff etc. we score goals, destroy the opposition, and instantly transform from a bang average losing team into a devastating killing machine.

I think your 3-6-1 formation threw us a bit or was it just a 3-7 formation nobody knows 🤣 but as a football fan it was very entertaining as a westham fan very disappointed we didn't show more resilience at 3-1 up but your boys showed real strength of character and determination with all the injuries and position changes you stepped up and took the game fair play to you guys 👍

We have gone from being a poor Atletico Madrid with shades of early Liverpool under Klopp to being a better version of Bournemouth 🤣
Injuries and other disruptions have contributed to that.

reality check , we beat westham at home , very sloppy passing, leaky defense, we are so far off being a top 4 team , to much hype about this win, what did we just do, we fought back against an average team, we need still to get rid of players and have a new class of players in
We learnt from this match that Livramento is pure class can play in a number of areas. Secondly Lewis Hall not playing earlier was a waste of time and a waste of Injuries. And Longstaff is still so slow and still can't win the ball or score . And when Burn stays back and does not link up he's OK. And he should not be a first team starter never. And if Howe believes in the other players like Hall and Barnes and Anderson we are a better side and boosts competition on the pitch. Howe should have done this 6 months ago.
Was it ever clarified what was going on with Kudos running to the ball boy after their second goal? Looked like he was quite aggressively getting in a young kids face to mock him in celebration!?!? If that's what happened surely there should be some response.

Bro. U know Billy and I have had some heated debates regarding refs. And yes we did get at least 1 call that went our way...BUT,whether it was considered soft or not, if u get hit in the face, especially the nose u dont know if ur bleeding right away. I'm not saying he tried to hit Schar. But when the whistle blew the ref had the obligation to make sure.
Also. Trying to do a quick throw so Lascelles couldn't get subbed off is just bad form. It's not even gamesmanship. Every player on Earth has gotten hurt...wasn't sure how serious it was and went back out to see how it felt. When after 30 seconds he was motioning "no I can't go" and they intentionally tried to prevent that is horrendous. That's not shit housery. That violates one of the fee unwritten sacred traditions of this beautiful game.

How is the penalty debatable he is kicked in the box nowhere near the ball. If they are going to say any excuse like not in control of ball blah blah or any stupid argument to rule it out our next player should be either a ice hockey goon to kick crap out of everyone in the box or the biggest quickest rugby player to smash their players as long as its in the box and nowhere near the ball.!

Still not sure why Eddie chose to bring Miggy on before Barnes (I can only guess he didn't wanna risk his fitness)... but when you have a real hame changer & someone as clinical as Barnes...
In some ways we were lucky that Miggy went off, in order for Barnes to come on.
But full credit to the team for their resolve

Schar did NOT have a head injury there was nothing wrong with him. Seen the replay a finger brushed his cheek. He was trying to time waste and the ref didn't fall for it

The substitutions worked perfectly, but we can't escape from the fact that there forced on Eddie since Almiron was injured and had to be replaced by Barnes, while Tino's injury forced Eddie to put on Hall. Why does it take injuries for Howe to see that he should have played Hall and Barnes all along???

forced subs got eddie out of jail, why put krafth on when bdb to centre half and hall to left back was the most obvious choice? barnes was only on due to miggys injury, i can't see how people think they were inspired subs, he had to replace tino and miggy. to me the result is papering over the cracks, we were shit and the subs were not tactical, they were a necessity. anderson needs to start, hall needs to start, barnes need to start and they only will due to injury. which brings us to why so many injuries? take the three points and the comeback, rest was business as usual for me

Doesn't matter if it was a slap in the face, it was still a head injury! Paqueta did that on numerous occasions during the game.
