I stopped drinking a few years ago due to health reasons and it makes me super sick as well, so now the only thing I do is smoke weed on the weekends but I don't need it to have a good time. I can be completely sober and enjoy a night of dancing and hanging with friends just like you did in Nashville, and the fact that you were sober and we're able to drive them home safely! I am the same way! I'm 27 about to be 28 and I've always loved taking care of the people I care about, even if I don't know you! My boyfriend and I have been sober curious for months and are finally walking it out in a way that works best for us and it is so fulfilling. Passing up half an hour of gratification for the long term gratification that comes after the moment passes of wanting that drink and realizing that we didn't actually miss out on anything and actually enjoyed the moment more becuase of standing by our decision to not drink is so insanely wholesome and cheery. Also love the podcast - feel like we would be best of friends in real life. It's so cool to be in a relationship that truly re-ignites my inner child. Never really understood what people meant by that conversation until my bf and I hit our 2 year mark and then the gratitude started flooding in for all those little moments of calm and bids of joy that each of us do for the other. It makes life so sweet
i’m 22 and have also never drank in my life but still love to go out and party and have fun! this is definitely one of the most common questions i get asked as well which i don’t love because i don’t need to have a specific reason to not want to drink so i can definitely relate

Loved this episode!!! I would say something that heals my inner child is buying things that have my name on it. You'd think where my name is Kayla that it would be a pretty easy name to find but there was a time where I could never find anything, or get gifted something different from my brothers and cousins where my name was literally on nothing. Even if it's as small as a keychain, I always get a burst of pride when I buy something with my name on it, and I know little me gets excited about it too 💗 Can't wait to see you and Katie next week!!! Healing my inner child has looked like showing my children and little sister what it was like growing up with a grandma who went all out for the holidays. My sister didn’t get to meet her but Halloween and Christmas were huge in our family so I’ve learned to do the parties and the decor and the cute snacks just like my grandma did. It makes me so happy to keep her spirit alive and makes my inner child smile to relive the memories.
I need the break up one i broke up with my 9 year boyfriend bc I wasn’t ready to get engaged I feel like s horrible person he was great we had issues and I was waiting fir the shoe to drop I’ve watched your tik tok but I think a podcast could heal me
