Now with camera man back, I have so been enjoying these shows. I have a newfound appreciation for the skills of camera work and Camera Man's sensitivity and thoughfulness. I love how Camera Man focuses on Danny as the host, the dining establishment and the people who work there, the fans who come and say hello to Danny, a focus on the food with his close-up shots, and a pan view of the neighborhood - all with great attention to lighting conditions. This is what drew me to Rate My Takeaway in the first place. The combination makes this a feel good show and what the public really needed during the pandemic and afterwards in this crazy world of ours.
Loved this one, was laughing so much, I love the edited slow moments, first with the table breaking (sad times, but the slowed "That's table gone".. was funny... and to top it off the fart when exiting lol) then the fight with the wasp and the slowed down voice when on his burger 😅 love it! Danny you are a Legend and all around Nice quality guy, hope one day to pass you and say hi! Keep it up pal, 👍
The Wasp and the cameraman are kindred spirits - they both know what it's like to be denied food by Danny. I heard the wasp had a few days off and t'old editor stepped in and did a better job at wasp stuff.

I thought there seemed to be a bit of genuine annoyance between him and cameraman. In terms of the content getting dated or whatever, I still think it has legs. There are lots of areas it can go into. Plus I read he has made decent side investments so I doubt he will keep going if it really starts losing views etc.
Gotta admit that food looks banging might have to give it a try when I'm next back in Oldham visiting family I live down south now so to far to travell.

Nice looking food. Love a nice basic well cooked plain burger. Doesn't need to be 6ft tall with onion rings hash browns and the kitchen sink on it. Keep it plain and simple then there's no where to hide, quality shows thru
Plain is a poor descriptor and we hate it in hospitality. Send a check through on the till to the kitchen with an edit or open food of “plain burger” and you’ll get HELL. What is plain? What you’ve described is a smash burger that’s got two burgers, cheese, ketchup and mustard (likely as that’s what is on most standard burgers), gherkins and loads of seasoning.
Only halfway through this one and properly entertained looool. Definitely Squires is a decent shout. Not had any food there but went for a Ford car meet about 4 years back before the pandemic. It's about a two hour drive up there for me but very interesting roads and definitely biker presence
It’s funny to me that Oklahoma burgers were invented in the Great Depression as a way to stretch your expensive meat by adding onions, and now 100 years later they are finally catching on in places as far away as the UK.
I love that Danny ignores any freebies he gets given. His attitude is correct. Didn’t order it, so not reviewing it! It shows he won’t be swayed by being pandered to, or by being used to promote other menu items. It’s called integrity.
I've been here before a couple of times. Didn't know they had a "secret menu". Last time i was at this petrol station a gang of kids on quads and bikes came through for a free top up 🤣
Danny highly recommend you go to the roasted cafe in Charlton Kings - Cheltenham! banging food all freshly made, the chips are to absolutely die for! they do chicken and chips nights on thurdays always busy because they are second to none!
