Really wish these videos and this information had been around two years again when I bought my RG. I had the 114 stage IV upgrade done to my 107 day one so it would be under warranty. The bike definitely runs stronger than a stock 107 but never gave me that pull and torque I was expecting. I don’t ride hard and fast like I did 25 to 30 years ago. We usually are two up and riding distance but I still like to have that quick passing power and not all in the upper RPM range. Joshua Barker You’ll love the 128 but the 550 cam isn’t going to give you the most possible torque. Stock heads will work in this set up but our ported heads with larger valves would increase the overall numbers especially paired with the HPI throttle body. The 124/128 motors are picky on exhaust and we have built a lot of them and have finally narrowed down correct exhaust choices that work great. Harley stage kits are not good. Having a 124 build done on mine since my stage 3 114 cylinders were out of round and pretty much cooked the pistons. Rode it 8500 miles with the HD tuner with horrible spark knock. Finally decided to get it tuned with a Power Vision and still couldn’t get rid of the spark knock. Warranty voided because of the power vision. To much build up on the pistons from the blow by.
Love this video! Can someone confirm to me what the torque is at below 2000rpm compared to stock?? Say at 1600-1800? I am looking at going from stage 1 to stage 2 with 468 cam. I just don't see the point in doing it if the 468 does not yield much higher torque than stock at the low rpms. And secondly, explain to me if the less throttle means less fuel consumption? So in essence, the better and more efficient mechanics from the cam and valve timings, we´re seeing more torque per less fuel? Correct?
I can tell you from experience, the RS468 cam has more torque below 2000 rpm than stock; however, it is a bit “choppy” under low load, light throttle position conditions.
We vent them the way H-D designed them. If it’s a race bike we would recommend it. We see a lot of poorly done vent kits that won’t flow the volume of air needed to correctly vent. If the vent hoses are long they need to be larger than most kits offer. So if done correctly they work great.
Question, just put a S & S 124 in my bike w/the 640? cam that came in it. Would like to get a different cam for it ( I don't need a top end cam). The installer said go with the 585 cam, does anyone think different?
John Doe we prefer Power Vision as it is limitless and it’s priced well below the ThunderMax. With that being said we also ALWAYS dyno tune everything!!! I'm doing this same swap this Tuesday but going from SE full exhaust to D&D billet cat 2 into 1. Current numbers are 113 torque and 119 HP with street tuner and SE auto-tuner. 2017 SGS. This guys HP only 95 is got to be a bad tune.
Check into the Tim's VTwin Performance Maxcell 821B cam 1st!!! He is located in North Carolina. He has been building SUCCESSFUL race engines for Harleys for a long time. I would say your 119hp is far more suspicious out of a screaming eagle anything to be honest.
Johnny Turbo I totally agree. I'd like to see Moonshine HD do a wide open baseline throttle prior to doing his work. I'm highly skeptical of his claim of 119HP and 113TQ especially with a SE restrictive header and SE tuner.
@@richardedwin5980 Y'all aren't very well informed then. My numbers are pretty common with the SE stage IV kit when combined with the SE full exhaust. I have the dyno sheet to prove it.
jetag93 I'm way more informed than you think and have not yet seen those numbers out of a Stage 4 build using the SE full system on a Street Glide. The SE full exhaust is a total waste of money. It still has a cat in it and is not that great of a header. The other thing is that those numbers, if true numbers, are in such a high RPM range (4000RPM & above) that they are ineffective unless you ride at that range everywhere you go every single time you ride. Every single Dyno is going to give you a different number. Let's see the numbers at the rear wheel. I have a good friend with a Stage 4 build on a 2018 CVO Street Glide with a Power Vision Tuner and Vance & Hines a Power Duals with the V&H 4.5" HO muffler and he doesn't have those numbers. And his was built by one of the best around.
There are quite a few factors that go into it. We don't have "packages" really. We tailor the components to what our customers want to achieve. If you are going to have a local speed shop do it I would go with their recommendations.
Dude wtf Stage 4 107-114 and less than 100hp? I have a 107 with 468 cam, catless head pipes , basic ass intake (the Arlen ness big sucker) And dyno tune on powevision.. And makes 105/115 On a fuckin stock 107 except for the stage 2 Man.. I seen ppl get Harley stahe 3 and 4 And with catted headers and I’m like WHAT ?
I really don't know if you are reading this ; but the issue of mitigating high heat in air-cooled motors ; like the 103 and Mil-8 motors ; already been long resolved by using ceramic coating on tops of pistons, inside the heads, and inside exhaust header. All this water / oil head coolings for 103 , 107, 114 CI motors maybe not required ; short of just running a standard oil cooler for the entire motor. Just another example this motor company using bad engineering to solve simple problems..... There are others using this on many, many different air cooled platforms, with great success...... But no, HD has to do it the complicated expensive way.......People already just so fed up with this level of incompetence, only matter of time when people no longer hooked on riding on a Harley............... Does not matter ... Harley stock been in a steep nose dive last 7 years. People are fed up pouring money into these engines which are designed to fail. People not paying 20 to 30 thousand dollars for new bikes... I predict this company will be bankrupt inside of 5 years from now..... We have access to company balance sheets, showing the company way over extended on existing loans and credit to the tune of almost 1500 million dollars. This motor company not have that kind of cash to pay back..........Is only a matter of time now, before banks start calling these notes back over-due for payment............
Im sure everyone knows you can get much better power numbers out of a HD. The question is at what cost money wise, reliability, longevity, & a lot more heat from an already hot engine. For the perpetually well off these are maybe a non issue. But a real biker who needs his sled every day? Don't do it.
We have customers racking up 30,000 plus a year on these setups. I guess they aren't real bikers because they have these setups in your book??? We also warranty these setups for them.

@@jamielima5315 , Okay,thx... for taking the time to reply ✌️
Can you guys dyno s trike?
Not yet.
@@johnnyturbo8460 The SE 515 cam is a power cam which make HP in the high rpms. The 119 HP is legit and peaks at 5900 rpm according to my dyno sheet.
jetag93 I'm way more informed than you think and have not yet seen those numbers out of a Stage 4 build using the SE full system on a Street Glide.
Should have just did a T-Man 128" and made some serious HP
He could have done one of our 128 setups but that wasn't what he was looking for.
Doesn’t the Harley stage 4 have 11:1 compression? Thought the 468 was for low compression.
Obviously not 🤷🏻♂️
The Zipper’s Redshift 468 has to the most proven great all around cam for the M8. Zipper’s makes great products for sure.
I’m a fair distance from you but I’d like to know what. Mods you’d do for a 19 street glide cvo! Tuner, headers, cams and so on.
There are quite a few factors that go into it. We don't have "packages" really. We tailor the components to what our customers want to achieve. If you are going to have a local speed shop do it I would go with their recommendations.
That Harley dealership should be embarrassed. A stage 4 that does 112 torque? Isn't that like 4 pounds off from stock. What bullshit is that?
I got a 98 fatboy.... what cant you do to it?
What do you want to do? Call Aaron. We do Evos too!
Dude wtf
Stage 4 107-114 and less than 100hp?
I have a 107 with 468 cam, catless head pipes , basic ass intake (the Arlen ness big sucker)
And dyno tune on powevision..
And makes 105/115
On a fuckin stock 107 except for the stage 2
Man.. I seen ppl get Harley stahe 3 and 4
And with catted headers and I’m like WHAT ?
If moonshine keeps selling and installing after market parts Harley won't renew there license.
@@MoonshineHarley Good to hear. Would you honestly state how many of your customers with this set up have serious problems because of this set up vs how many have no problems?
