There were many things wrong about key differences between PLC and DCS. Only thing which was just touched was the software part.That was shallow too. Please stop saying DCS is designed for Analog and PIDs.Its 2022 PLC controllers can defeat any DCS controller interms of computation power and IOs.If DCS is just about distributing IOs then why dont we use PLCs which can be integrated at HMI level.why DCS is needed then?
