Thanks for looking at the knives, Brian! I'm hard at work on the orders that have come in since yesterday. Let me know if anyone has any questions!

Just order 1 3/4 oval grip. I Enjoy, a variety of knives for my carvings to keep things interesting and these look fantastic. I’m excited to get it in my hands when it arrives.

Received mine, sadly the fit and finish is pretty lacking. The blade thickness is uneven and very rough, the darker spacer is wonky and seems unfinished. At least mine does not fall into the higher end category, closer to average Eastern European to be honest.

I just received my Silvern medium knife with the Silvern handle today and I am very pleased with it. I ordered it about a week ago. It came with a clear plastic tube over the blade to protect it. The knife was very sharp to begin with. About 45 seconds on the buffing wheel and now it is shaving sharp! Thanks Ken for the knife. Keep up the good work. I'll keep an eye out if you come out with more tools. Thank you Brian for letting us know about these knives!

I have probably 50+ knives in my inventory (part of the channel lol) but these are going to be a main user on the channel for sure!

Brian: Just ordered a 1 3/4" knife based on your impressions and the blade geometry. I like the single face of the cutting blade. Not a noticable bevel and flat. Seeing as Helvie is not making new blades and Drake takes months to get, this may be a good alternative. I already purchased a Badger State knife and have a few Flexcut knives. Thanks.

      Good choice!
Also, a great alternative option would bee Deepwoods Ventures. Great knives, 2 to 3 weeks to make n ship to you.

@@CarvingisFun Like any hobby, you always want more tools. How many carving knives do I really need. Love my old Helvie. (Can't really get them anymore with the family health situation) I am still partial to my Flexcut detail knife. Not used to my Badger State blade yet. No word on when or if I will get the Drake I ordered from him. Your reviews and suggestions have been really vital in my choices. Thank you.

I'm sure Mr. Silvern asked you this Brian, but I'm going to ask for the comments section; What do YOU think the knife industry needs in the carving/whittling space that doesn't already exist in the market?
If I were starting a knife manufacturing company, I'd be looking for a differentiated product, not just a new iteration of existing products.

Things that need a greater focus in my mind are comfortable handles for various sized hands, quality wood for carving that is easier to get, and nice portable strops in both manual and powered versions.
Keep in mind that if a new knife/blade design is created it needs to really be amazing, especially since a simple blade will take care of 99% of all your whittling needs.
Also, everyone has their own opinions and hyperfocuses on things. So a focus on the majority at the beginning is great, but then start doing smaller more niched tools as time, finances, and interest allows.

Recieved mine a week ago, fit and finish arent quite what i was expecting/hoping in a hand made carving knife. Blade stock was rough and uneven in thickness. QC will hopefully pick up and future models meet the higher standard that are shown here in this video.

Oh no!! Well, I know he is doing his best to refine and get better. There is massive potential behind his knives and I know they will be an excellent option to pick from.

Shame they don't ship to the UK, I'd love one. I can't seem to find a fine blade like that with a straight edge. Everything seems to be Scandi knife shape over here, which is fine for whittling spoons and so on, but I don't really like them for characters and things.

Since he just started, I believe he is going to focus domestically and get everything set up with systems and then maybe branch out.
