I'm actually suprised, this was not Ramin's song at all. It just didn't have that slow burning power the original had. Don't get me wrong, I looooove Ramin Karimloo, but this song did not do him any favors. I thought he did a fantastic rendition of "If I Can't Love Her" which was replaced by this song in the live-action movie. I really like "Evermore" too, but "If I Can't Love Her" just has much more dramatic broadway feels and it would have worked so well in the movie!
It might have something to do with the audio. Other recordings capture more of Ramin's nuanced resonances and clear tonal shifts. This one sounds more dull, almost muffled.
Ramin filled with passion of tenderness and beauty with hope. Brilliant artist.
