RICHARD PETTY MONUMENT HAT UNVEILED AT NORTH WILKESBORO SPEEDWAY

North Wilkesboro Speedway unveiled the latest Richard Petty Monument hat at the Speedway with Richard and Kyle petty taking the cover off of the Petty Blue oversized cowboy hat monument inlayed with historical pictures and text. It's the latest in the series of tributes by NASCAR and Speedway Motorsports to the Petty family, with a hat being placed at every race track on the NASCAR Cup Series circuit.

When he took off the cowboy hat he didn't look like the same man. Either a racing helmet or that cowboy hat is all I've ever seen him in and I've been watching him since the 1960's.
