Congress needs to institute an immediate disqualification clause for any and all who refuse to answer questions put to them in order to establish their qualifications for the position for which they are hoping to be elected/selected/hired/placed.

Edit: She directly lied about the contents of her twitter account. Well, here we have an elected Legislator grilling an Executive Branch Nominee. Nomination hearings are supposed to confirm or deny the suitability of the individual for the nominated position. I saw nothing to qualify or disqualify her. Rather, I continue to see non-suitability from Hawley for HIS position. To clarify Hawley knew her answer was I have a private account and an official account, and I dont show bias on my public account. He then grilled her for bias on private account. She kept saying the same answer because he essentially asked the same question over again so he could make a little clip about showing he owned the libs. Everything you submit, everything you say - is evidence. When you are brought before congress or the senate, you are under oath that "I swear to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth..." and in this case, she did not tell the truth. She submitted an official document to the Senate she will not give access to her twitter, then blocked her twitter account (made it private) so members of the senate could not see it. Seemed she didnt do it in time, and they still saw her posts. She said UNDER OATH that her twitter ONLY talks about certain things and nothing else. She specifically said that. Sen. Hawley proved in what is essentially a court room that she lied, and lied under oath. Lying under oath is punishable by being fined and/or imprisonment up to 5 years in prison.

Not answering a question that has nothing to do with anything is not perjury. Hawley is trying to get her to contradict herself because of what she presented to Congress, in an attempt to make her look bad, simply because she was nominated by Biden. Hawley requested the social media, already having access to it, and then she locked her account because it's private and PERSONAL, which is to be respected under the First Amendment by the Government. Because she locked it, Congress requested it - she said ["No, and here's why"], to which Hawley is trying to get her to contradict herself because she made personal opinion posts which TECHNICALLY "don't fit the description that she provided to Congress."

She never said her posts ONLY consisted of the things she listed, and frankly it's silly to think that anyone could comprehensively list ALL the things that are in all their social media posts. So it was an accurate statement to say that her social media posts consisted of those things as long as some of them did. It would only be perjury if she claimed that she DID NOT post the things that Hawley mentioned. Hawley is really reaching for a perjury trap. He's got a better case for contempt of Congress. But really, it's not important that she answer. He has the posts. If he doesn't like them he can vote not to confirm, which is, of course, what he's already decided.
