So im not mad they aren't going. I wouldn't go either. That's why they have have new queens. I can take a separate offer make more money for 5 yrs then come back and be glorified because I showed up 🤣🤣

Jinkx always carries herself like a queen and has more talent than most of Ru's girls. Her dress was understated elegance and tailored to the gods! BTW was Ru a bit "under the weather?" He stumbled over the year, forgot Jinkx's name and seemed a little out of it.

For sure a drunk Derrick mockery. But, the forced smiles and the palpable awkwardness concerns me. Although the genius behind EVERY queen standing up there is glorious I wonder how much was improvised and how much Was accidental mishap. I wasn't there, I am too unfamiliar. I don't think there's a single drag queen working today that hasn't been enormously inspired by RuPaul. I've been a fan since 1991. That does not mean she should not be criticized. Far from it. Ask anyone that knows her and they'll say she has an _encyclopedic_ knowledge of everything pop culture. If that's the case, I don't think it's asking a lot for her to put a little more effort into learning the names of the queens who most made _RuPaul's Drag Race_ what it is today. You know, the ones standing around her in full paint and high glamour at 9am who are in the midst of doing a publicity blitz for the show that's about to debut. _At the very least_ the one she'll be crowing "Queen of all Queens."
I know a lot of people laugh it off or give Ru a break because he's done _so many_ of these seasons now. They defend her because of what she's done for the drag industry and how she's given countless people jobs they love. They remind everyone that she was a pioneer and that she owes nobody anything. I get it.
But with that argument, one should be reminded that RuPaul's _own_ career was a fairly distant memory in 2009 when after years of being pitched the idea for a drag reality competition, she finally accepted. She'd managed to conquer every facet of the entertainment industry in the 90's and would remain a household name because of it, but NO ONE could have ever predicted her greatest success was yet to come.
If you consider how much screentime RuPaul has in each episode, it's miniscule compared with the contestants that have truly made that show a massive phenomenon of pop culture. They even have to put thousands - and some even _tens_ of thousands - into what the show requires they bring. Sure, many have gone on to huge success, but others return home and file bankruptcy. That's another discussion for another time.
To make my point, everyone laughed off the fact that RuPaul couldn't remember Jinkx's name. It was charming, but several other queens have since come forward to confirm RuPaul makes little to no effort - she's fed their names on an earpiece while filming. Instead, she asked Jinkx to say her own name when she could have easily avoided names entirely. She laughed it off, but for the enormous influence RuPaul had on Jinkx's growing up and what a huge part Ms. Monsoon has been in the show's continued success, you can't tell me that didn't feel like a gut punch.
As Ru always says "If they don't pay your bills, pay them no mind." To that, I offer an addendum: "If their work in your reality empire _does_ pay your bills, pay them the respect to know their g0dd@mn name." Or perhaps "Learn to love yourself. Learn to love yourself because if you don't love yourself, how in the hell can I be expected to remember your name, Seattle?"
