As soon as I began listening to this in awe of the holy priest teaching so eloquently, why have we not had any Pope speak and teach about these deep reverent subjects? Not since over a hundred years ago have we had any real leadership that isnt embracing false religions, voodoo practitioners and/or raindancers. Smh

The reason is a punishment of God on His Church. He will raise up good leaders when the faithful have done enough voluntary and/or involuntary penances. As bad as some of the leaders are and have been and will be, when we face God on judgement day we will be asked about our own lives account rather than those shepherds. They have their own judgement to face.

Wrote it down, Five steps of mental prayer :
    Preparation-
Settle our minds, beginning to pray asking God from keep us from distractions and guid us in prayer,
Also making ourself deeply aware of the present of God (or in the blessed sacrament,or in our rooms)
    Selecting the material-
We select the subject on todays conversation or mental prayer, could be some book of meditation or the study of picture or statue of our Lord, something that we can bring our minds to and can support our meditation so we have something we can speak out Lord about,
    consideration-
Exam the material of today mental prayer,we first read and formulate the thoughts or ideas, and than we ask ourself traditional questions as (who is here in sense, what is our Lord doing, why is he doing it,and how is it apply to me,
    Conversation-
Our soul starts to speak slowly to the Lord telling him of his love for him, the desire to serve him and the willingness to do all for him we adore Lord in today meditation, we thank him for past gifts and we ask him for new things, we ask him for virtues (ex, if we learned about meekness and then we also ask it)
    conclusion -
We thank the Lord to the grace the reserved through the prayer, we can develop a resolution anytime that we’ve learned from this meditation we we ask God The strength to do it

"Convesation with Christ" by St. Theresa is a good place to start. Imitation of Christ is also good.
