Hi sweetie thanks for the video.. I making and selling gemstone bracelets.. Cat bracelets, women bracelets, Men bracelets and sets.. What boards should I use for them?
Hi! I have a question about the Pins... even if its on your board and someone finds it, doesnt clicking the link then take them to that person website and not yours? So doesnt that help a complete stranger instead of yourself to get more traffic?
i have my business acc on it but i can not see the toggle option of enabling the board private or public i have watched many videos and tried many methods but still its not working..please help me
After going through so many search, you are the only one I have found who explained how to create a board. Thank you for explaining it in a simple way!!
Katie, your videos are the best. After weeks of watching all the wrong videos, I am so glad I found yours. You make it all sound so simple and explain everything very clearly as well. One question I do have for you. Do you think it ok to have boards from completely different NICHES? Like I am doing power tools and DIY woodworking projects and wonder if putting up boards on food recipes would be cool also? Thank you so much. You rock.
As others have said - thank you for a video that showed me exactly how to do the think that I was trying to find out. I've now watched a few of your videos, and they really are the best.
I am trying to find a step-by-step How To Set-Up a Business Account on Pinterest. Do you have one? Can’t seem to find. Your way of teaching is simple and clear.
Love this vid. It's helpful and to the point! Have pinned your vid to my Pinterest Board. So many vids on RUclips, but many of them are outdated, so I started a Pinterest board for recent Pinterest vids.
Glad it was helpful, Annie! Yeah, I know things change very quickly in social media. In only a couple of months and I can film a new video about the same topic 😅
Hi. I'm new to Pinterest. I opened up this Pinterest account because I just opened a Zazzle store and someone recommended me to pin my products in the Zazzle platform and that they would be transferred to Pinterest. I already opened a Pinterest business account and included my Zazzle link in my Pinterest account and i already created two boards with some pins. My question is(do the keywords from my product on the Zazzle platform also get transferred to Pinterest or would I have to type those? And if so, where would I type these keywords on Pinterest? I can't find where I would type my tags. So basically, this works like Instagram. To get some followers to view my products I would just have to look at other people's pins and give them a like and see if I get a like in return for my pins? Sorry for all the questions, today is the first day I use this. It's a pretty complicated platform.
so no funnel or complicated things are needed to use pinterest? what about youtubers or affiliate marketers? should they set up a personal or business account? I love your content
Katie, thank you for the information.. if we are just starting, is it better to leave a board empty, or should we wait till we are ready to pin to it?? Thanks for your thoughts.
Thanks so much for the video! I have a 🔴 QUESTION🔴for you or anyone else that may know. When you add a pin and it says WHEN you added it, example 50 sec or 1w does other peoples activity change the status of this time? Thank you so much, i hope you can help me.
Am I missing something? I want to create my own "PIN" or "BOARD". For example, how to paint each wall a different color. So how do I create one to show each step how on how to do it? Do I have to create one PIN for each step and then add to the Board? Sorry.
Hello :) I am creating a blog that will have 4 categories: Mind, Body, Spirit and Social connections. Is this enough boards for my account or do you recommend making more? Im a bit confused on how to do it properly. Thank you! Im loving all your videos and website!
So I would aim for 10 boards to start. So if you have Mind, Body, Spirit and Social connections then think about each of those as your broad topics. Can you come up with a few boards that are more specific each. You'll have 10 boards in no time.
Should all boards be related when using pins for affiliate marketing? For instance, I have all sorts of varying boards on my personal account. Most of the boards are unrelated to one another.
Hi. Great video! Is there a limit on how many pins you can pin or create before your account gets flagged? I do things quickly and so I always like to know what the limits are.
I really like your videos, you explain how to learn how to do this really well. I am trying to learn how to do this on my own, one of many questions I have is the group boards can I use this for my customers to show how they use the products they buy from me? I make and sell wreaths stands, crosses, hearts and awareness ribbons. Thanks
Hey there, yes, I think group boards a perfect for collaborating. So, for example, with your clients. I believe this is precisely what Pinterest intended group boards to be.
Thank you, Katie! ) Continue to build my Pinterest with you. May I ask a question? Do you use ad company in Pinterest? Are you familiar with the newest Pinterest innovation inside ad company creation?
Yes, I recommend having a personal one for fun and use for yourself and then starting a separate business account for everything related to your business.
Katie, I am so glad I found your channel. I have already learned a lot from you. Your content is very educational. I have started using Pinterest to drive traffic to my plant-based food website/blog. Do you have a video or resources that could help me learn more about the following: If I have a post on my website that could be relevant to multiple boards and I would want to add a link to the post from multiple pins on different boards: for example, all my recipes I am planning on adding to a board titled "plant-based recipes" but if a recipe is specifically a breakfast recipe then I would also want to create a board titled "plant-based breakfast recipes" and add a pin there too, etc. What are best practices for doing this?
Hi Jenalyn, first of all, thank you so much for watching my videos! First of all, I recommend you check out my video on "How much Pinning is right" I think it could help ruclips.net/video/cAykGvciqsE/видео.html. Yes, you can pin the same pin to several boards; this is what I called "repinning." This strategy used to work great, but Pinterest does not like it that much anymore as it always creates a duplicate of your pin. But I still repin/save a pin to more than one board (e.g., 3 boards) but ONLY if it's relevant. You also want to make sure you wait at least 1-2 weeks before you pin the same pin to a different board. Hope this answers your question :)
Hey there, so hashtags used to work in pin descriptions and not board descriptions. But, even there it's better to focus on regular keywords than hashtags. Hashtags used to be a thing in 2020 - but they are out again. 🙈👍
Hi Katie , thank you for your hard work and amazing library. I have couple questions: first question - in my profile i able to upload my profile pictures and also on profile banner - pictures or video. Why all people have pins from there account on that banner and i dont have this options? My second question- i can schedule pin with Pinterest why i need tailwind?
Hey Olga, So Pinterest is constantly testing different profile layouts in other locations, so I can't say why you're not seeing the same layout. You can try to change it via mobile, sometimes you get different options than on desktop. Regarding your second question, I personally don't find the Pinterest scheduler sophisticated enough for what I do - so scheduling multiple pins at the same time with different intervals, etc. But if it works for you at the moment, that's great.
Hey katie I had a general doubt so basically I applied access for idea pins and even got it and posted some butnow its showing I need to apply again for access, then it shows I have already access but when I go to create one it shows you need to apply again
I've heard that Pinterest has made big changes where you should only pin fresh pins attached to that url once a week. You can then post another fresh pin attached to that url a week later but no more often for that url. You may reuse that particular pin a year later. What are your thoughts?
Yeah, that's kind of what Pinterest is saying. But I don't think that it's that strict. So I guess you can still create more pins for the same URL if the image is new. And I personally pin my pins to three boards and then again a couple of months later. But, yup, you don't need to pin thousands of pins anymore. Just pin it when your content is relevant or seasonal. Hope this makes sense.
Is there a way to create a collaboration board where the comments are kept private? This would allow me and my friends to have private brainstorming sessions.
Hi, Katie! I’ve been implementing what I’ve learned by watching your videos by creating 10 pins per blog post & pinning to 3 boards. One of the boards I pin every pin to is the name of my blog. Is that a good idea or should I change the name of that board to something related to my niche like “Southern Foods”. Didn’t know if blog named boards are still a thing & if I should be pinning every pin to it. Thank you so much for sharing these videos! They are so helpful!
First of all, I love your pinning strategy, so keep up the fantastic work. Now I still have a blog board with my name, and it's one of my most successful boards. However, you want to make sure that when you pin a new pin for the first time that you pin it to the most relevant board first. So ideally, something that has a relevant board title. After pinning it to that board, I recommend waiting at least one week or even longer before pinning it again, and then you can pin it to your website board. Let me know if this makes sense.
Wow, this is a very good video! I was so confused about where to go to find the + sign to create the board #1, and #2 I kept wondering why the image to add a picture would come up sometimes and other times something else came up. I didn't realize I was clicking "create pin."
Hey Candace, so if you converted your existing account your boards should still be there! Did you maybe create a new account instead? If not, I would contact Pinterest support.
Hey al, hmm, what about if you go to your account page and then switch to the "saved tab" on desktop, there should be a + sign in the top right corner just above your boards.
Thank you for the video, but I still find Pinterest very complicated to use, difficult to organize. This is like my seventh time I try to use it and give up
Pinterest has apparently changed a lot since this video was released. There is no "+" on the right side to create a board any longer. They've made it very confusing now. ugh.
Hey Milena, as I've seen a huge influx in emails lately, I'm not able to get back to people on a one on one basis through email. I hope you understand. Do you have a specific question about Pinterest?
This is probably about the fourth video that I’ve watched. Why is it that no one can start from step one. How to sign in how to find what it is you’re looking for, an explanation of why Wang needs a board when all you’re looking for is it a breeder is stitches. All of these videos go to the middle as opposed to beginning creating a name creating a board Papa Papa ...I doubt that I will ever figure out Pinterest from any of the videos that I watched. You all act as if we know ahead of time all of the things that you were talking about and believe it or not there might be a few of us who don’t know all of this. I’m really disappointing in every video that I have seen.
I like your video but if you title your video "how to create a board on pinterest", you should stick to that title and do only that. It seems like you went on an a tangent and added more information which sometimes is not working to your advange in making your video stand out above the rest. Anyway; I don't mean to say your video is bad; I appreciate it. This is just my opinion and hopefully good constructive and helpful criticism.
What's the use of making a 20 minute video where you are skipping the most important part I.e what to write in the description box , alttext box while creating a board. This is not helpful and not justifying your 20minutes video title.👎
Hey Webby Master, I always try to give as much information in my videos and address the most pressing questions of my audience. Of course, there's always more I could talk about. That being said, please try to keep your comments and feedback constructive. I'm 100% committed to keeping this community safe for my audience to ask open questions but also for myself to create content. Also, no need for you to watch a 20min video if you feel like it's bringing you nothing ;)

Can i publish pins every 5 to 10 minutes of gap? It's ok or it's spam?
I would do less. The strategy of just pinning a lot each day does not work well anymore. Focus on quality content over just amount of content.
