    Majun, A Sindhi Luxury! Highly nutritious!
    Majun Mithai is a dryfruit and mawa flooded Sindhi Mithai Or Khorak. It is very popular sweet dessert in Sindhi Community and loved by all age groups.
    The Recipe can be made with different methods, Some make it with a water and a sugar syrup, and some make it with milk and sugar. here i have used milk, Khoya and Sugar. this recipe is made mostly in winter, and during pregnancy and post pregnancy.
    This is highly nutritious also strengthens our bones. To gain immunity, for proper sleep, for fitness, metabolism people eat this majun, a sindhi royalty.
    I have already shared Khorak Recipe & Majun Recipe before, this one is slightly different. The making of this recipe varies from family to family so try my version of Majun & let me know how it turned out for you. Enjoy

    Let us get to the ingredients below :-
    Unsweetened Mawa - - - 250gms
    Sugar - - - 1.5cups
    Khus khus (Poppy seeds) - - - 2tbsp
    Cardamom pwdr - - - 2tsp
    Grated Coconut - - - 100gms
    Milk - - - 1litre
    Shudh / Desi Ghee - - - 1/2 cup
    Refined oil - - - 1/2cup
    Crushed Dry Dates(chhoara) - - - 35
    Dryfruits - - - 1/2 cup each or 30 pcs each
    (Pistachio,Cashew, Almonds, Walnut)some grated & some whole.
    Method:
    1. Bring the milk to the boil along with sugar.
    2. Simmer once its boiled , continue boiling for abt 10-15mins.
    3. On the other side, In a kadai add oil & mawa, keep stirring till its light brown in color then add boiled milk in it & keep mixing for 5mins or so.
    4. & add grated Coconut, crushed drydates, khuskhus(poppy seeds), cardamom pwdr (Ilaichi pwdr) & dryfruits. Mix them properly for sometime. once u see the mixture is thick in consistency,turn off the flame.
    5. Grease a thali with lil oil & pour the mixture in it. set it in a square shape. Then cut into pieces once its cool & decorate it with anjeer or silver vark (optional)
