A “Mad Minute” with the .577 Snider

Rapid fire with the Snider really was rapid, compared to the much slower rifle-musket it replaced. This was a pretty clumsy attempt, and I am not well practiced with the Snider at all, but even in shaky hands the Snider demonstrates a vast increase in potential infantry firepower over any muzzleloader.
Target is 4 foot steel at 150 yards.
