Beautiful work. I find that moss useful, for several things, but super brittle; trade-offs. I'm kinda blown away by the toothpick highlight thing; I guess always looking at stuff at half an arm's length, I forget to think about how it will appear, on the table
Finding that out for myself, this bundle of moss is the first time I've worked with it. Anything in particular you think it excels at? Also thank you so much for the kind words, I felt like I was doing something foolish while I was painting but was also surprised by the appearance from a distance.
First, a warning: What I'm about to suggest is best done outside, and with a mask on... I tend to pulse that type in a coffee grinder, then use that multi-coloured dust, as a perfect moss paste. Mix in bit of white glue, and smear it wherever. Especially good at hiding "less than beautiful" parts of a build, such as cracks, bald spots, and anywhere the under parts show through. Just know, when you take it out of the blender, it will be _massively_ dusty, at first. Just let that junk blow away. The heavier stuff is what you want Or... I sometimes I don't blend it, and spread a lot of white glue, then glue that sheet of stuff down, like a mossy carpet. Great for "earthen" roofs, jungle floors, etc. Luck! 🤞
Dude, your channel just popped up on my feed, with this video. Great video, I love your slap-cash approach and the wonderful end result. I had to sub your channel. This video was whimsical, energetic and fun. Looking forward to your next adventure into crafting.
