Growing Bonsai from Seeds - Unknown seedling in my bonsai pot.

This seedling was found in my Japanese Black Pine pot. My first thought was "My black pine didn't grow any pine cones!"
So until this little guy grows more, we will not know what it is!

Update as of 4/46/2022 A squirrel has dug up the seedling and the seedling is now dead...

I liked the last shot of your reflection walking into the house - very artsy!
I'm betting for you that it's a JBP seedling - perhaps a cone on your JBP or a nearby tree dropped seeds while they were in the ground. Or I could be wrong and a bird could have left you a present. So many possibilities! I love saving random seedlings I find too lol

Haha thanks! Not sure if it's a JBP because both my JBP's have not produced any cones. So it's going to be big surprise in about a year lol

Still alive so far haha! The trunk is thick but the tree is in need a big transformation haha. More updates on this pine in the fall!
