Thanks for that Luke...I had a longevity spinach that overwintered here in zone 7B quite by mistake...I think I prepped the bed where it was heavily with leaves in the fall and it sprouted through in the spring...good thing too because the plants I took inside didn't make it!
I can’t find the Okinawa spinach. My husband is Hmong, and they use it for the herbal chicken soup. We moved out of Minnesota and I can’t find the seeds online or store
hello nice video but still have questions. What size pot can we start them in. can you give me some names of the potting soil 2 use for them. and can these be grown under a grow light indoors. and can you give me some fertilizer names too that we can buy at your store thanks and have a good day. sorry for all the questions I am a garden newbie
Any size pot as long as they dont get toot bound. Any potting soil for indoors plants. And the fertilizer Im not a big user of that. I use my own compost.oh and I am keeping mine inside for the winter undwr a grow light. They are doing well.
Yay! I'm excited! Because Trichophilia doesn't have a lot of info out there and since y'all grow it I'm interested in what your take is on it. So are you Larry, the guy in the video, or no?

I grow the longevity, Okinawa, Egyptian and both green and red Malabar spinach. The health benefits are incredible. 💜 Happy growing 💜

What kind of vitamins and minerals are in Okinawan spinach?
I am hoping it keeps producing after freezing temps. I live in Jax and we get occasional light frosts.
