That's the whole point of the matter, and also, male lions are not really fit for hunting because of their heads.. They can hunt, but not effectively.. If the lionesses should stay out of it, it'd be more impossible for male lions to catch a prey, but lionesses don't really need the male lions' help to hunt, because they were just built up to hunt..
