Dr Jeff Sutherland talks about his new book, "Scrum: A revolutionary approach to building teams, beating deadlines and boosting productivity."
‘Scrum’ is a project management method used at high tech companies including Google. It seeks to help improve productivity--whatever you’re ‘10X’ing’, Jeff says he can teach you to do twice as much in half the time. Развлечения
awesome, I love the story !
I highly recommend this super-credible talk and encourage you to watch to completion. Dr. Jeff Sutherland reveals the secret sauce of Scrum Project Management and how Scrum was derived from lessons learned during his wartime "fighter pilot experience and evolutionary biology and … supercomputing modeling, [and] AI."
Awesome !
Electric kool aid
However did the team at North American design that P-51 (around 44:20) without Scrum?
Amazing talk. Truly enjoyed it! Thanks Google!
Interesting talk. Once you've understood how it works it's sort of obvious that working in this way is more efficient.
How do you eat an elephant? Take a small bite, chew and swallow it. Then take another bite. Repeat until done.

Jeff..plz dont compare mech product process with software product process ....
gann chart ...58:35 mins check the way you where not able to ans....true way to beat around the bush....remember mech engg and civil enng dont bull shit around the bush... we are straight to point
13mins in and he's still talking about himself and how great he is... seeya
Skyturnip yeah, he is great.
nice way to market software product.... everything stolen from mech engg. and civil engg.. we had it already but didnt market it... but practically this dosent happen in software
So, 9 years on, is he still bleating on about how good the Saab Gripen is compared to F-35 sales worldwide? Plus his slide (49mins) states "World's best stealth fighter not made in America" - it is absolutely not a Stealth fighter which the F-35 is (5th gen), plus his costs are all wrong as the Gripen cost is ~ same as F-35A in 2024. Finally, now some time has passed, how are F-35 sales stacking up against Gripen sales? (and Denmark bought F-35 by the way) - in terms of actually delivered it's about 280 Gripens vs ~ 990 F-35 and there are hundreds if not thousands of the later on the backlog whereas the Gripen is stalling.
good talk . but humiliating the US army , lol .
So he made intelligent people doing stupid things like marching around 4x better than other people? lol
Wie call people like him in german 'Leuteschinder'.
pcuimac 'Leuteschinder'. Was ist das
Absolutely it is stupid, this man equates marching to software design, this is a kool aid of corporations, emperors new clothes
How a guy can bs for an hour and google employees stayed glued is incredible
@@climbeverest - Jeff is not equating marching to software design, he is telling if you make the work visible, the productivity of any team increases
Rant - "three generations ahead of the F-35" - that is just plain wrong, it's at best a 4.5 generation jet. There is a massive difference in complexity between the two aircraft as well - F-35 is three subvariants with carrier and STOVL items in the list. The whole argument is cherry picking and borderline nonsensical.
