Who says males aren't interested in cooking? Lol, I've been cooking for over 45 years, I love seeing new dishes. You're such a good woman Leah, that's why you have a lot of male viewers. It's not often many of us from the west see a women like you here.
Me, as well. I've been doing most of the cooking for most of our marriage (40 years) and wife still can't even boil water, doesnt know where anything is in the ref or the pantry--she's kinda helpeless in the kitchen. By the same token, she plans all our vacations, and handle all of the retirement investments, etc while I manage he household budget. She also refuses to DRIVE over here...a hahaha
Hmm I would say she probably meant that most men here in the Philippines are not interested in cooking because most filipino women does the chores especially cooking 😊
Mrs. Rick and I have spent 50 years side by side in the kitchen helping one another fix meals from around the world. There are somethings she does her way, and I'll do them my way. We've pretty much learned by now when and where our strengths are and where we should let the other person take over.

removing that string from shrimp 🍤 is called deveining, it is actually not a vein (in the circulatory sense.) It is the shrimp's digestive tract, and its dark color means it is filled with grit and poop 💩
“Once you are done torturing the shrimp head….” I loved when she said that. I knew what she meant. I liked the way she said it. I’m not being critical of her. Helping to wash the car. Western women would never do that. Not even for themselves. Everything traditional Filipinas do is considered as ‘slavery’ by western women. Thank You God for Filipinas. @@lutherthompson8547 I think it is part of our human nature to compare things. We compare prices of items, quality of merchandise, taste,smells, what we see and feel. We do this but the generalization of humans and then of women- for me- is shallow thinking maybe coming from deep hurt. I do understand there are women out there who will NEVER wash a car who have a car that may need to be washed. There are women out there in the world who may not even keep their bodies clean and teeth brushed. This applies to men. The thing is and maybe I am missing the vlogs, I have yet to see one Fillipina say anything putting down Fillipino men to the extent that Western men put down Western women. I think it is fine to have a preference but women..women- all if us..are complicated and I think in general- we confuse some men lol. And men..can be confusing to women as well. Add cultural differences and it can be real fun! Or a bit of a nightmare. I believe people can choose to love anyone they want and in marriage type relationships be with any consenting adult and make those choices. Age gap, gender identification, sexual orientation, race, religion..all of these things do not limit love..miles apart...all if it. It is beautuful when people find each other and decide to share their lives together. These two and their daughters are a beautiful family. Simply put, no need to put down Western Women.
@@LKay742 you gave your thinking on the subject without being rude so I appreciate,, anyway,, these commenters are not saying all western women are bad,, or all Filipinos are so wonderful,, nearly all good western women I've been around are taken and usually for a while now,, very few western women are as you described,, they don't even wanta work much less. Wash a care,, mow lawn,, some don't want a cook even,, and manage money omg,, things have changed with both genders ,, as a whole most men will work, take care of family, and not leave,, women's attitudes have changed very badly over the last 20,30 years,, now men chose not to even date,, live happier,, I was married for 38 years,, together 35,, I should have gotten rid of her years before but had a duty,, put my 3 girls through college,, wait till the youngest was 18, plus marriage was sacred,, plus I was afraid of losing too much,, but I got sooo miserable I had to end it,, I bought her a new doublewide mobile home and she cried like a baby because she didn't get more,, but had never contributed.. I worked in a factory around 100s of women over the years,, thought I might get remarried one day,, But found out real quick it wasn't worth the trouble.. just too argumentative,, combative,, looking to quit work,, shop,, eat out constantly,, nice car... My son is married to a Filipina,, she's a different type of female ,, he's always happy lol,, I forgot 95 percent of western women are too damn fat.. ANYWAY,, that's why men are comparing,, if you're in the percentage that are still wife material you'll do fine,, so no need to complain about the men's comparisons,,, which they've probably been burnt by western women,, REMEMBER,, the #1 trait of a feminine women is to be his place of peace!!! Happy man equal happy wife equal happy life..

Love watching you cook… one bit of advice: PLEASE, please get in the habit of turning the handle of the pot back over the stove top so that someone can’t bump it - or so that one of your kids don’t accidentally take hold of it and pull the hot contents onto themselves. Better yet, once you begin to simmer - also move it to a back burner if possible. Always think safety in the kitchen🙂 Keep up the good work🙂

When my kids were little, they impressed an older couple at the Chinese buffet restaurant. They got their food & calmly waited for their parents to get food, not touching their own until we arrived and prayed thanks together. I was surprised by the delighted old man with his eyes beaming love when he told us why he and his wife were so happy. Small things, often are a great delight to folk who notice them.

I am a widower now and just started dating again here in Los Angeles. I haven't met a woman yet that will cook a home made meal, they all want to go out to fancy restaurants in Newport Beach. I am coming to the Philippines sometime later this summer.
oh god...do come here...or Thailand. Both countries have a virtual cornucopia of lovelu, good-hearted, sexy women who are much more 'traditional' and easy to please. Not that ANY relationship is a slamdunk, but which would you prefer--a 50 year old western boss-babe with too many masculine attributes and a sense of entitlement, or a 30 year old FIlipina who won't mind your maybe not perfect physique, appreciate you for who you are (as well as your generosity), and be happy with you?

Hello from New Brunswick, Canada. I have a Filipina wife too and we have a place high up in the Bessang Pass of Suyo, Ilocos Sur that we stay when we visit the Philippines. My head looks just like Gary's but I always wear a hat. I think Gary should get a Crocodile Dundee Outback hat and wear it on his head so people don't think there is a solar eclipse... Heheheee

There are extremely high risks living in the Philippines. You must work in every country to avoid future problems. I see a lot of guys collecting pensions countries located throughout Asia. These pensions government pensions will disappear as government debts must be controlled. Priority will go to people living in their home country.

You can probably work through the consulate or embassy for the clearance Gary needs from his two home countries. I am in the process of having my Filipina fiancé get a visa to the U.S. so we can get married. She needed a clearance from Japan since she lived there for a year. She was able to order that at the Japanese consulate in Cebu. Gary might be able to ask the U.S. embassy, for example, about getting a FBI clearance.

WOW!!! That dude is BLESSED to have a wife who will help him wash cars. My wife NEVER EVER helps me. I hand wash and wax and detail both our cars and, some days, it's a 12 to 14 hours job all alone.

How tall is the Filipina? mine is 4'9"( 144.78cm) that is short and works perfectly, I call her my little stick of dynamite because she is so strong and powerful !! 💪

The Thai ginger is the same as our our own ginger, but they tend to use galangal, a type of ginger that is milder with a different flavor. You an buy it online and it freezes very well. Also they use 'young ginger'.

I don't know if have done it already but you can get the NBI clearance abroad with online application. Depending on the age of your old one, it can be done with or without someone who you would authorize to get it in the other country. BTW, good videos
Whats funny about this is that I was in the process of making myself chicken pad Thai for dinner.
As to the shrimp I have not heard it being poison but it is the digestive tract so its full of stuff you don't want to eat.
If it ate something toxic I suppose it would be harmful to eat.
The vein in shrimp isn't poison but it is poop. So it's probably not the best thing to eat.

Personally I am not sure why they will not accept your Philippines NBI clearance, only other thing I can think of is to try to get Embassy in Philippines to email UK or U S Embassy a copy of your current NBI and get the overseas Embassy to stamp it.

I am a very good cook. In fact, I haven't met a woman who can actually cook without you tubing instructions in over a decade. Women in America aren't being taught how to cook by their bitter mothers and nen teach themselves how to cook out of being alone and needing to feed ourselves. We can just show up online and beg for free meals and drinks

The US equivalent of the NBI is the FBI. Is it a criminal records check that they are asking for? The Embassy has a contingent in house for the FBI. No idea for the UK but they seem more prepared than the US.
