Hi Koko Nina. I can certainly do more on Max Weber. Have you seen the rest of this playlist? Is there anything in particular on Max Weber that you would like?
Hello Dr. D University Thank you for replying to me! 🥰 🥰🥰🥰🥰I like to learn theory. Would you mind sharing how to learn Max Weber’s theory? Like how he make a argument. Let me explain, I love Max Weber because he offered a new perspective. I can get a lot practical methods from textbooks. But only Weber offered a very strong theory and arguments. So I like to read Weber’s books. But it’s so difficult. Would you mind sharing how to learn Max Weber?
Hi Koko Nina. I am also a huge fan of Max Weber, and I will be happy to share more with you. He was a brilliant man, and he wrote in many areas. This playlist compares how his concept of the Iron Cage was adapted for Organization Theory and in International Relations. He also wrote in the areas of political science, sociology, management, bureaucracy, institutional theory, and I would argue that his ideas paved the way for Austrian Economics (especially with the whole verstehen/erklaeren debate). Do any of these topics in particular interest you? I have videos on some of them already, others I can create for you.
I feel that this was a pretty accurate insight by Max Webber. All I disagree with is that I don't think Bureaucracy's are flexible and fair. I feel that they are more of a dictator/individual type of ruling.
I learned that Max Weber thought that bureaucracies were very efficient and good for routines. However, they are weak for non-routine scenarios. They are good for things you do all the time. Adhocracy is the opposite.
