I just bought myself a 1TB Extreme Pro microSDXC card. The package has a punched hole, the back says it's "Made in China", and I checked for the serial number on the back of the little memory card.

It would have been much better if you compared two 128gb cards together, perhaps the 256 card always has different packaging, I'm suspicious of my extreme pro 128gb card it has a sticker on the back that says made in Malaysia, I peeled that sticker back a bit it says made in China under it, is that even legal to change country of origin? Does your 128 GB card have a sticker that says made in Malaysia?
@@MominNz yes, that is very strange, however all the rest of the packaging is identical to your genuine product. I've sent the seller an email before I return it to Amazon and let them explain the situation.
@@daleadmire1451 to be honest, keep away from Amazon, Ebay, Sphock for SD cards. you best option is Argos PC World or even Tesco and ASDA Wilko are legit. The sellers does indeed needs to come up with an explanation. This fake SD card which ive shown in the video was purchased on SHPOCK and the seller constantly disagreed after 3 months of fight I got my money back. It was not the money which I wanted its the matter of principle and people should be put out of business who profit on others disasters. An sd is a very important device with maybe your memories on it and losing that is that last thing.

My brother ordered a 128gb sd card and received a 512gb card and his phone can only use up tp 256 but it worked on his phone it costs about 7 dollar. What would happen if he keeps usinf it
Just another viewer here, but I think you are asking about the use of each right? Well, the fake one will NOT even come close to storing the amount of data it's supposed to. Is that what you are looking for? The bad guys take legit cards and then electronically make them THINK they can hold much much more data. HTH! :)
Only one thing, smartphone can detect if the sd card is fake or genuine. The smarrphone model name is Htc 7 trophy. If the sd card is fake it will detect as "unknown". If the sd card is genuine, it will show the brand name on the screen. This features does'nt available on any apps , software nor any other smartphones. Htc 7 trophy is legend !
Man screw all those fake SD card makers. Got my hands on a fake Samsung SD card and my retailer kept saying 10mb/s write speed or lower is perfectly normal(what?) I contacted Samsung which swapped my card and my write speed is now 60mb/s.

Turned to the Tube for some advice and guidance when I came across your video. So far you seem to have hit on everything that I have identified on my card as not been SanDisk as I know them, but the music, the sodding backing music, why? You've made a tutorial, a helpful and and I believe good one but then stuck a music track over the dialogue, why, why would you put music over your dictation, totally distracting and really, really annoying! Sorry but a good video spoilt and for what?
@Soft Tofu does it also gives footage bad quality? Cos i see Filipino's here producing crappy video's with actioncams that normally give good quality. I mean, is it possible to get a crappy video with a gopro due fake sd card? Or do they just messed up the settings of the gopro in some kind of way
The fake 256 GB is likely a much slower card that has much less storage. On top of that, it will likely only last a small fraction of the time of a real Sandisk Extreme Pro.

Usually they hold MUCH MUCH less data than they should, so if you find that limit, and don't overload it, it might store data just fine.

YOu can put thinner for 4 minutes or vinager for 1 hour , and you can see the paper fake
