  • Another trip to London, this time I could find a space directly where the group was going, my first time to the coach park there, and it ain't cheap, and it's surprisingly tight for a coach park as well, god knows who designed that!
Run back wasn't plain sailing either, usual Friday delays!

As someone who was involved in private hire work based in the London area until a year ago it was very interesting to hear your comments James. 2 hours Tower Hill to the M4 is a bit extreme, but not unknown. By the way, that's Hyde Park Corner underpass at 21:00 - Marble Arch is at the other end of Park Lane.

I will say I am not one who likes to tar everyone with the same brush, but it is just my own opinion with my own experiences, however I very much believe there are some P/H drivers that are sensible and good as well, much like TfL buses to coach drivers are enemies however you do come across one that can be respectful and humorous, others will barge you out the way and have a go at you but that's the ones that give everyone a bad name. Ah yes of course it's Hyde Park had the wrong end of Park Lane in my head, thank you :)

I have yet to venture into the coach park at the Tower, however this video gave me a useful insight into the best way to tackle it! These videos are proving just as useful as guides too, if I had a camera set up I was quite tempted to record the various terminals at LHR as an easy guide to drivers, as T3 is quite a maze. Keep up the good work.

Might do that one day, I think we have some Heathrow transfers coming up soon, usually it's either a one terminal drop or it's the dreaded all terminal drop, that's a painful one! Yes T3 drop usually means find any available bay because there's already 5 coaches in 😅and the pick up is round the back in some out of the way area!

@james143611 I will have to find a decent camera and record some stuff. I came from service buses where I learn routes on video, and I quite like having a visual run through to see where I'm going sometimes!

Thank you! Well there's a fair amount of private ones, but certainly not hundreds of commercial ones around London, at least the one above has returned on a daily operation which is cheap to go on as well surprisingly
