Shaping up to be an exciting season. The second chick was the aggressor. The oldest sibling retaliated but stopped. Is it possible this oldest sibling has a gentle side? It will be interesting to see the dynamics when the last unhatched egg hatches.

There kinda isn't anything cute about this. It's a built-in fight for dominance (reduce the number of birds "stealing" food--the Alpah's siblings). Usually one, and sometimes two babies die from the attacks, which keeps the younger ones away from the food, causing dehydration and starvation.
It IS a wonder to behold, as long as people know that nature is brutal, and the dominance fight is, as Michael Cprleone said, "It's not personal. It's strictly business."
