This movie is bad in the way of the original. But with all the garbage we have on screen now this movie is tresure indeed. But it could be far more better. Alita should be Japanese, her real name is Yoko. Yes she has cyber body even when she really was a child in the past on Mars. But her head and the face always was native Japanese girl. Blame Robert Rodrigez for his mexican fetish. He once said he will use only mexican or spanish actors in his movies, I gues he made exeption for Waltz because he's a friend or Tarantino and the only British actor played a villain. Oh and the audience would tear him in pieces if we didn't used black actor in a role of Victor.

In multiple interviews, James Cameron, Robert Rodriguez and Jon Landau stated that the original script by Cameron was too long and had to be trimmed down, and that's pretty much all Rodriguez did with the script, he didn't go as far as "rewriting the entire thing". Plus the reason Cameron didn't visit the set so often was because he trusted Rodriguez to be competent, or why would he give Alita, his dearest project for a decade, to him?
3 years man... This movie was incredible. Probably in my top 10 favorite movies of all time. Yeah it has its flaws, but what a ride this movie was bro... I pray we see Alita on the big screen someday again.
We can actually learn about Alita's *whole* journey just by listening to this soundtrack! First, we hear nothing more than a battle music, with hard basses This is Alita's past as a soldier Then we hear calm, heroic orchestral music It represents Alita's peaceful time with Ido and Hugo, as she is not fully aware of who she is, down to her body being too fragile and not fitting her persona Then we hear a mix between hard basses and orchestral music, representing Alita finaly discovering herself (by merging The Warrior persona and Alita persona). Basses in this part sound less straightforward and badass, and more heroic, as well as orchestra sounds more aggressive. This is how you make an ost!!

Junkie, this one is above all. It is hard and raw and full of destruction. And that triangle "pliing" sound ... its just a masterpiece.... not to mention that i've broke two sets of drumsticks already ;) Quick edit after six months: Still hard, raw and full of derstruction, and still goosebumps allover and heart bpm raised . This track is one of it's kind Just like the movie. Actually, whole Alita's score is one of it's kind and for that i thank You . Thanks for such emotional experience. I just bought myself a new 7.2 surround system nothing too crazy just enough to get the room shaking. The motorball scene came on and I felt that shit. I swear I was in the movie myself. This soundtrack really made me appreciate the movie a lot more. I truly hope they make a sequel

Too bad the Dua Lipa song is weak in comparison to this but yes Swan song is the Alita battle angel movie song so it does have the same notes used.. I notice more so that this amazing composition is similar to another incredible piece of work from Mr Junkie XL. His theme song from Mad Max.. am I the only one that notice when watching the Alita movie I could feel the Mad Max theme in the background. Amazing score and movie! Absolutely love it!

Junkie, this one is above all. It is hard and raw and full of destruction. And that triangle "pliing" sound ... its just a masterpiece.... not to mention that i've broke two sets of drumsticks already ;)

Still hard, raw and full of derstruction, and still goosebumps allover and heart bpm raised . This track is one of it's kind Just like the movie.
Actually, whole Alita's score is one of it's kind and for that i thank You . Thanks for such emotional experience.
Maybe after a few times of watching "Alita" i've just got used to this soundtrack but despite that I CAN'T IMAGINE THIS MOVIE WITH SOME OTHER SCORE!!!
I can recall some specific moments in the movie just by listening to each track, and that , in my opinion , makes the movie and the score one inseparable whole

I just bought myself a new 7.2 surround system nothing too crazy just enough to get the room shaking. The motorball scene came on and I felt that shit. I swear I was in the movie myself. This soundtrack really made me appreciate the movie a lot more. I truly hope they make a sequel

Probably it must be for the critics who made it underated
fun fact: this track was not featured in the movie as you hear it here. Rather bits and pieces of it were put in and were edited to suit the sequences of events during the race arena scenes. wow that was a run-on sentence..
This is why I really hope Cameton and Rodriguez get together again for a sequel and give this movie and music its justice it deserves
