Sadly it didnt do very well in america, but it did overseas. So a sequel is not certain, but possible.
@Elijah Ken well there is a good chance there will be, theres been talk from the people who made the film that a sequel has been discussed and is most likely in production. The fact it didnt do well in america is the only reason a sequel is 100% certain.
@Elijah Ken I've just read a few things, nowhere does fox ever say that they arent interested on a sequel. It almost tripled its budget in the box office, and most of the main people working on the movie and the main actress want to return for a sequel. Fox would be missing out on not making an alita sequel.

Tracer It's also a reference to (WARNING: SPOILER FOR ALITA: BATTLE ANGEL AHEAD) when Alita tries out for Motorball and she's lined up at the starting line with a few other guys. The other contestants are all out to kill Alita and Ido (the guy who rebuilt Alita) lets Alita know so she says to the other contestants "Go easy on me, guys."

In my opinion, it was a very strong, intense and symbolic moment of the film.

The certain fast-paced drums feel a bit overused because those same sounds were sprinkled all over Mad Max: Fury Road and Mortal Engines scores too. Otherwise, yes! Great work once again from Mr. Holkenborg.

This movie is bad in the way of the original. But with all the garbage we have on screen now this movie is tresure indeed. But it could be far more better. Alita should be Japanese, her real name is Yoko. Yes she has cyber body even when she really was a child in the past on Mars. But her head and the face always was native Japanese girl. Blame Robert Rodrigez for his mexican fetish. He once said he will use only mexican or spanish actors in his movies, I gues he made exeption for Waltz because he's a friend or Tarantino and the only British actor played a villain. Oh and the audience would tear him in pieces if we didn't used black actor in a role of Victor.

@@MoJohny Actually, her real name in the manga is Yoko. Alita is just the name Ido gives her. The manga's actual name, or at least the original is called GUNNM which translates to gun dream. And I agree this movie could have been done better. Yet I loved it for what it was, especially all the references and homage it gave to the original work.

2:33 This part is when you recognize this is Junkie XL. It's like a seal of identity in his music and I love it.
We can actually learn about Alita's *whole* journey just by listening to this soundtrack!
First, we hear nothing more than a battle music, with hard basses
This is Alita's past as a soldier
Then we hear calm, heroic orchestral music
It represents Alita's peaceful time with Ido and Hugo, as she is not fully aware of who she is, down to her body being too fragile and not fitting her persona
Then we hear a mix between hard basses and orchestral music, representing Alita finaly discovering herself (by merging The Warrior persona and Alita persona).
Basses in this part sound less straightforward and badass, and more heroic, as well as orchestra sounds more aggressive.

3 years man... This movie was incredible. Probably in my top 10 favorite movies of all time. Yeah it has its flaws, but what a ride this movie was bro... I pray we see Alita on the big screen someday again.

Too bad the Dua Lipa song is weak in comparison to this but yes Swan song is the Alita battle angel movie song so it does have the same notes used.. I notice more so that this amazing composition is similar to another incredible piece of work from Mr Junkie XL. His theme song from Mad Max.. am I the only one that notice when watching the Alita movie I could feel the Mad Max theme in the background. Amazing score and movie! Absolutely love it!

It does not currently have an ending despite the fact that 30 years have passed since the launch of the manga ... and of those 30 years only 50% of Alita's story is known and the other 50% does not even exist (I mean, it is not finished ) i hope yukito kishiro keeps working on alita's ending :(

fun fact: this track was not featured in the movie as you hear it here. Rather bits and pieces of it were put in and were edited to suit the sequences of events during the race arena scenes. wow that was a run-on sentence..
This is why I really hope Cameton and Rodriguez get together again for a sequel and give this movie and music its justice it deserves

Still hard, raw and full of derstruction, and still goosebumps allover and heart bpm raised . This track is one of it's kind Just like the movie.

Yes. That scene when flash running build the charge then got shot and falls, very similar to 4:52
It is assumed that a lot of Holkenborg's original 2017 Justice League score was repurposed for Alita: Battle Angel. When they brought him back in 2020 for Zack Snyder's Justice League he asked if he could start fresh.

How come this song wasn't played in the movie?! The only part that's even CLOSE to it is when Hugo took Alita to the motorball stadium, that's it! And that was like 5 seconds of this song playing.
