I know! I felt the same way but I think this more than a lot of decks I have seen is a full 2nd Edition with some great changes that only serve to improve the original!

Lol, it always cracks me up to hear, "gold gilding" or something like that as "gilding" means "to make gold"....Thank you for the comparison..so basically they 'fixed' issues by making the book bigger and the cards smaller....I am not a fan of splitting decks to fit into boxes tho....the Matthews decks do that a lot too...I end up shelving the book and bagging the cards even tho the boxes are gorgeous.

I just got this edition. I love the deck but don’t like how the matte finish and black edging make the cards stick together. I can’t spread them out as they clump together. It’s really irritating and wish I’d been able to get the first edition.
Thank you! I feel the 2nd print is better in everyday useability wise.. Could not do the 1st edition as much as I wanted to: glare and fitting into the frame when doing online readings- was a pain in the butts :D Have yet to get the 2nd edition, was waiting for someone do the actual comparison, then forgot about it- and now youtube thought I need to see it :D That makes me happy.

You and Lisa did a great job with this deck. So much so I bought the deck. I initially was hesitant, but I fell for it.

Purchased this deck approx. one month ago. The sideway book is confounding. Love the card size.
I definitely agree, the card size is perfect, the book isn't an ideal layout but I am sure it is to try and keep the size manageable :)

I would prefer it as glossy, some in the 2nd edition look not sharp enough, like king of swords. It is gorgeous deck anyway!
