Normally, I'm very dubious about excessive restoration, especially where colourisation is involved, but you have done a phenomenal job here, on both picture and sound. Did you use the film sound, or edit in a studio recording? Either way, very well done! [I thought the film - "Rantevou sthn Kerkyra" ("Rendez-vous at Corfu") - was 1960, rather than 1959, but that's purely based on another RUclips clip (ruclips.net/video/eT31_9b0Ips/видео.html).]
Hello and thank you for your message. I really wish I would be able to assist you, however I did not personally proceed in making any editing or restoration in the video. It was actually transmitted in this quality by a Greek Tv network and I just had the chance to record it. This film was released in 1959.
@@trentefeuilles Oh well - congratulations to them then! Maybe they had a good quality copy, compared to the other RUclipsr who didn't (he apologises in the comments or text).
This is the "official" colorization / restoration by the production company that has the rights of the film. It was initially broadcasted as restored and colorized in 2020. As B&W it was broadcasted to death by various Greek TV channels since the 90's. About the colorization, they obviously used the original negatives
Ναι, αν τη βρεις...

@@asicdathens Are you saying it was originally shot in colour anyway?
@@G6JPG No, it was colorized from the original negatives that were shot in B&W. This is why it looks good.
