Do you know if there's any plans for RoseMary to get to meet her adopted brother and sister in person? I hope she's able to and that they welcome her with open arms.
What an awesome result. Such a shame Rosemary never met before Leon passed. What a wonderful man to have adopted two children too. Thank you Leah and Blair and also to all who helped with this closure, in particular Caleb with his dna “wizardry”.
Rosemary resembles her father a lot. It's heartbreaking that she didn't get to see him before he passed away. Her father even adopted two children, not realizing he already had a child in the Philippines. Everything happens for a reason, and only God knows why.
Im crying along with Rosemary. She is the spitting image of her dad both young and when older. Being his only biological child known, its sad he never knew her. Bittersweet but beautiful video. Lots of hard work by you and Caleb to find her dad and siblings. Thank you from a newer fan. ❤🇨🇦
I'm beyond happy for you Rosemary to finally get your lifelong questions answered with this incredible outcome . And Leah , Blair , Caleb and everyone one involved ................. BRAVO ZULU !
I have been involved in genealogy for decades and have had the opportunity to introduce people to their ancestors in a less dramatic but still meaningful way. So I am not very susceptible to tears, but this story hit me so hard. My father was adopted and never knew his parents. Decades after he passed, I was able to identify both. I can only imagine how this information would have affected him had he ever known. There always seemed to be a hole that could not be filled. I'm so glad Rosemary was able to make this connection. Thank you from an adoptee's child for doing this work. ❤️
My mother was adopted and never knew her parents. Over the years we had so many conversations about why they abandoned her and what they were like. She died three years ago not knowing anything about them. I recently learned that her mother was a Hollywood actress and had abandoned a baby girl six years before she abandoned my mother. I like to think that my dear mother and her sister finally met in Heaven.
What gets me more than anything else in this story is how tough Rosemary had it growing up. Being teased by her siblings because the colour of her skin and then being abused by a man who falsely promises to find her father. She gets herself a job at 13 and educates herself just to get closer to find her real dad. What an amazing woman, what an amazing story. I am glad she knows who her father is, at least even though he has passed. Well done Leah, Blair and Caleb.
@@Jingleee cry me a river means , I think you are wanting others to feel sorry for you when you do not deserve it. Like someone tells you their dog died , just to get your sympathy. This warmed my heart to tears 🥹❣️ She looks so much like her father; it’s astonishing! You could watch her broken heart mending right before your eyes❣️ She’s right, they were all jealous of her beauty🫶🏻🤗
Thank you so much for answering Rosemarys dreams! It certainly impacted her life every day of her life to not know her father - and you brought her healing and wholeness! Thank you all for caring enough about Rosemary, to help her!
Leah and Blair, the challenging job you’re working is not an easy one specially there’s no big organizations behind you. A true Humanitarian Hero. God loves you both and your families. 🙏🏻💐❤️👏🏻
So happy for Rosemary, to know the truth is powerful for her and I am sure there are many who will never have the same opportunity! It is devastating to think that US servicemen were not more considerate of the women in the Philippines and at least used protection. So much pain they caused and then walked away from.
With this new information about her father, Rosemary could apply for a U.S. passport - and she would get it. And so would her kids and grand kids. And to you Leah, Blair and Caleb: Keep up the good work.
That was so beautiful for Rosemary to finally find out who was her father, and to have pictures of her grandparents and great grandparents is a great gift! Many people who grew up in their family don't have those.
@@LeahandBlair He sure did. Maybe one day I'll find pics of my grandpa's dad's parents and grandparents and find out his grandma's name since he didn't know. Wish me luck.

But the best part is you are able to see what he looked like when he met your mother and what he looked like many years later. He MUST HAVE been a very loving man, he adopted two other children as well. God Bless Leah, Blair, and Caleb for all of the hard work and their generosity in caring enough to help Rosemary and others in their search. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

I am American, Navy Veteran, 41 years old, been living in the Philippines since May 2017, have 4 children with 3 women in the Philippines, and today is the first time I have ever heard anyone say “Amer-Asian” or “Amerasian”. I never considered that my children would be labeled as “Amerasian” or even guessed that such a term exists. Maybe the children of Australian men with Filipina women are labeled “Austral-Asian”.
Yes, that term is correct. it's not a derogatory word. As per Wikipedia: An Amerasian may refer to a person born in East or Southeast Asia to an East Asian or Southeast Asian mother and a U.S. military father. Other terms used include War babies or G.I. babies.[1][2] Several countries in East and Southeast Asia have significant populations of Amerasians, reflecting a history of US military presence within those two respective regions. These include Okinawa (Japan), South Korea, Cambodia, China, Laos, Thailand, Vietnam, Taiwan and the Philippines. The latter once had the largest US air and naval bases outside the US mainland.[3][4]
@@ElyasBinYahya I heard this term when an Amerasian boy was on his front steps a group of bullies had chased him to his porch from the school bus yelling halfbreed , he hollered out the front door he wasn’t a halfbreed he was Amerasian. It was 1968 , dad was AirForce stationed in Japan during the Vietnam war. This is such a tragic story for her and many other children born from the war to American men. It would be amazing for relatives of servicemen would put their DNA on the websites to see if they have long lost family there
Same story as my cousin who came here at US to search where her father is. Little did he know that his daughter turned to be rich here in US. But wasnt able to fine her dad no matter how much she tried too. At least Rosemary knew that her dad already pass away. For sure my cousin dad already have pass away since she’s already in her 70’s.
My grandfather was in the military and when he passed we found out about his daughter he kept secret from everyone. He supported her all of her life but was never involved in any of it. Which is sad but he new it would’ve been over with my Nanna and there’re three children. I disagree with what he did and try to forgive but that is in gods hands 🙏🏾
