Wish you had compared him side by side with Xtransbots Big Load, just wanted to see how much different, but I do appreciate you comparing side by side with Deformation Spaces Crimson wing. Can't wait to get him in had. Awesome vid.
Always like brawl as a kid in the cartoons. I have UT mmc and zeta but this one looks the best or at least up there with MMC . Mine should be here in a few days. Great review and you have a new subscriber
Great review…you really put in some work on this review with the comparison in all the modes. Much appreciated. The only thing holding me back from getting this bot is the thought that they might do an EX version. Thanks again.
Thank you my friend. I think a EX version, if it should happen, would be a long way off. I'm more than content with the level of paint that is on this one now.
That's my only issue with MS. I mean, it is what it is. Look at how stunning this figure is. It's just not an enjoyable experience transforming them, almost to the point where I don't bother. But again, that's no shade on MS. In terms of animation accuracy, they can't be beat. And Brawl is just the best I've seen. My word.
Hey, thanks my friend. Sometimes on screen, it looks more complicated than it is when you have it in-hand. Just a heads-up, I have a Speed Transformation video coming up where I go from bot to alt mode in nine and a half minutes. It's that easy.
The transformation is not too bad. It's quite straightforward. Look out for the Speed Transformation video that I will be uploading soon. Thanks for watching.
There's a couple of dovetail tabs underneath the turret that you missed tabbing in, this is why you still have a little gap that Brawl can peep through in the front of the tank. Otherwise really good review and transformation steps. New sub from me!
Hey my friend. Yes, already been pointed out by a couple of other comments. Much appreciated. I addressed the missteps in the reverse transformation video. I also missed the rear lights in alt mode. But still, keep those eyes sharp if you see anything else I missed in future videos. Thanks for the sub.
Great video, just received this guy myself today. Thanks for the in depth details on this figure. Keep up the good work. You just got a new subscriber 👍
I've had my Brawl since Thursday too, and I'm pretty much in full agreement with you. I was initially concerned with how light it was, as it's usually a sign of cheap materials, but everything feels solid, the materials, the paint and the joints. In fact, in this instance I feel that the lightness is now a positive for posing the figure, as he can hold poses that a heavier figure might not. I'm really looking forward to the next release.
Mate, I couldn't agree with you more on the positive of figures that are light, but strong and make for good dynamic posing. I loved photographing this figure. Thanks for watching.
@@Rockafex Hey thanks for the review of this guy, you're still the only guy on YT that has reviewed him, what are the differences in shipping times from China to UK vs to US?
Thanks my friend. Unfortunately, I don't have the MMC version but watch out for other reviewers. I'm pretty they have MMC Brawl to compare it to. Thanks for watching.
You missed the flaps for the rear lights in tank mode and didn't tab the turret section in. I had trouble with attaching the headlamps too, but I chose to very slightly file the posts. I love the way this figure looks, but it's not an enjoyable transformation. I also wish the combiner ankle could rotate.
Hey bruv, thank you for pointing those couple of missed steps. The gaps on the rear and the gap for where the turret is was kinda weird to me, so cheers for that. I'll put it in the reverse transformation and give you a shout out. Also, you said it wasn't an enjoyable transformation... why's that man, I'm curious? It'll help me understand other people in the TF community as to what they term as hard, easy, enjoyable, not enoyable.
@Rockafex it seems to have a very specific order to some bits. Tabbing the turret section in can't be done if something inside the chest is already done, but there's dovetail tabs and a slide tab involved. You have to push forward at the same time as lifting. Maybe it'll get better after a few goes, but I'm just finding it a bit of a pain at the moment.
@@MathematicalMike LOL. I've just done the reverse transformation video and on one of my tries, I have to put it in tank first, I forgot the rear lights again. 😅
I didn't quite catch if you mentioned whether it's painted or not. Also, was the plastic used the same as with the first issue of their Light of Peace? Just getting these for robot mode. In my opinion, Zeta would still be the best combiner choice if you're not chasing toon accuracy. But then again, that foot not being green already disqualifies it. A Magic Square decision that I can't quite understand, since Zeta had to release a version with different colored feet.
Hey my friend. I'm not the best judge of telling whether a figure is painted or not. I can see obvious signs, like Fans Toys are mostly painted. In my opinion, I think they used a process I've been hearing where they mix the paint in to the liquid mould before casting. It does have a pinted look to it. The plastic seems to be a bit more of an improvement to Light of Peace 2.0. Them not going for the green foot, yeeeeeah, that kinda urks me. I don't get that decision. So easy for them to do it green. WTH? Thanks for watching.
@@Rockafex It doesn't make sense for them to not have the foot green, as their legends scale was released with the green foot. This would only make sense if they planned to include the green foot in another repaint.
Thanks for the Review Rock, bot mode looks great and tank looks toon toon, Good for toon collectors. Why does the leg transformation have to be so complicated. With all the little pieces and bits, way too many things to break and go wrong. I can see the whole inside of the calves just opening, then extend down, rotate at the waist ala Gobots, then just swining back in and closing. LOL.
When you have it in hand, it's not as complicated as it looks on screen. All the rotating panels are quite robust. They feel good. No chance of breaking unless you are very heavy-handed.
I broke that flap that somehow you were able to get your fingernail into in order to begin the leg opening sequence. Mine would NOT budge. Sp i pushed the leg open and bam, pin went flying and flap fell off. Luckily i was able to re-assemble it and put the pin back in. Then the rest of the transformariin went alright.
I’m a bit confused by this guy, I’m assuming it’s a scaled up version of their legends figure? Either way, it’s a very appealing looking bot - watch your botts FansToys! Is he fully painted?! Never bought any MS stuff before, but this is extremely tempting, and is even more exciting for Constructicons…
Hey my friend. Yes and no. For the most part, it is a scaled up version of their legends scale Combaticons but there are changes in its construction and engineering that makes it more appropriate for MP scale. So not a direct upscale with no changes. In regards to Magic Square themselves, I have two of their Light of Peace (Optimus Prime) figures, an ordinary one and a painted upgrade one called MS-02EX. Thank you for watching.
This transformation was literally painful. The tabs were simply too tight. I even busted a nail. I have no idea if I’m gonna be able to get it back out of tank mode without breaking it! My fingers are also killing me from pushing those bloody headlights in. I do love how this all works and looks though. It’s awesome! I just hope the tabs loosen up over time.
Oh no. I'm so sorry to hear your discomfort when transforming this figure. It does get easier and I think some copies will vary. Mine wasn't too bad. You might have gotten a really, really tight one.
@@Rockafex I reckon so, I did manage to transform him back to a robot this morning without too much pain. I had to use a screwdriver and a spudger though. Totally impossible without. Regardless, I’m still a big fan of this figure. It has its flaws but it looks so good and I just love it.
What I did notice is that these have to be some of the best-looking hands on an MP. Overall, it's a great figure. I can't wait for the rest.
This figure is amazing. Judging by their legend scale version, the MP scale of the whole team looks to be phenomenal.
