Bublik really has been so clutch this whole week. Between coming back from a set down every match, saving match points against Shapovalov in the 2nd set tiebreak, and this match where I feel Coric was arguably the better player and had tons of break chances that Bublik kept saving with amazing shots. It’s rare to see someone lean on their clutch play this hard for an entire title run, especially while playing such a carefree, aggressive style.

So happy for him, such a good player to watch too - compared to most others who are boring cross court baseliners 💤💤💤

Knowing Bublik, Im not ruling out he lost that first set on purpose to have a chance at that record 😅

At 4-1 Bublik realized that he would only win the match, if he would lose the first set.
So he gives it away 7-5 and then smokes Coric in cold-hearted manner. This is some new-age tennis meta call.

Nice to see Coric healthy, but his game is too one-dimensional to ever grant him a high degree of success. He's like Kachanov in that sense. They need to hire a coach to help them mix up their shots.

The grunting from Coric is not particularly loud or annoying but the noise after he makes a shot while he is repositioning is quite annoying, not once or twice but throughout the entire match and after almost every shot..

You have to absolutely love Bublik, after all dogs, and disabled returned to the tour... Now he has matured and is going for titles and cash for his child.

Alcaraz needs to learn from Bublik how to mix up the shots,Bublik is so smart with his shot selection, feel for Coric, Coric played so well still lost

Agree. I am pretty sure Bublik will be a strong force at upcoming grass tournaments, hopefully at Wimb as well!
