110日齡的「圓仔」今天體重7091公克。「圓仔」現在喜歡四處探險，越來越活潑好動，有時會看到牠因為跑離固定的竹床位置太遠，而被媽媽「圓圓」半叼半拖的帶回去。
現在的「圓仔」活動力十足，當保育員在清掃牠跟媽媽的房間時，「圓仔」會朝著移動的東西或聲音傳來的方向努力前進，而不乖乖地待在產房裡，時而追著掃把或跟著塑膠桶還有保育員。每當保育員將「圓仔」放回竹床，沒多久牠就會走出來到處亂跑，「圓圓」這時候正在另一端開心地吃著竹葉，發出了沙沙聲；「圓仔」循著聲音來源前進找到媽媽，但媽媽並未立即過去抱起牠，而仍淡定的吃著竹葉。突然「圓圓」好像想到了什麼，繞到「圓仔」身邊，嘗試各種方式想將「圓仔」叼起帶回竹床，像是媽媽教導孩子不要到處亂跑一樣；但因為「圓仔」現在已經是個大寶寶了，所以「圓圓」最後用半叼半拖的方式才將「圓仔」帶回去。「圓仔」前些日子還不會走路時，總是乖乖地被媽媽「圓圓」叼著走；但現在牠已經會趴趴走了，所以有時候會看到「圓仔」被媽媽叼著時，仍揮舞著四肢或努力撐著，像是不想乖乖就範的頑皮孩一樣。「圓圓」漸漸摸索出一套自己的育兒方式，且會隨著寶寶的成長改變；會適時的教導「圓仔」，但當「圓仔」肚子餓或要便便時，也會溫柔慈愛的將牠抱起來擁入懷中，讓「圓仔」安心的喝ㄋㄟㄋㄟ。

Aw that panda momma was so gentle in positioning her jaws to grab the baby ^_^
There's a big gap between those teeth and the back of the mouth for her to place a baby in before they are big enough for her to pick up by the scruff of their neck using her teeth.
Surprisingly the neck scruff treatment is extremely common, at least among mammals from what I have seen.

For those concerned about them living in a "jail cell" this is what reality has become for creatures on the brink of endangerment. With fewer than 1600 wild pandas left in existence - being kept in a zoo is one of the last options we have for ensuring the continuation of their species.
But a Zoo doesn't have to be so sterile. The ground is even so paved that it's too slippery for the cub to walk on.
Ah, what you see here is the indoor housing area for Yuan Yuan and Yuan Zai. When bad weather conditions make it unsafe for them to be in the outdoors habitat they are relocated here for a short time.
Give them green grass, bamboo and some trees at least. This is like a scene out of THX 1138, but more sterile!!!
They have a large outdoors area with plenty of trees, climbing poles, slides and things. This is just where they sleep, and for the mother panda to take care of the baby quietly, as other large pandas can still harm small cubs. Also, China eventually wants to send pandas into the wild. They've tried with a few pandas and they all died shortly, so a lot more training, close monitoring and research needs to be done before that happens, so they don't all die out.

That is just the space where they sleep and nurse not the place where they live. Stop your nagging and look at your Nike shoes and your clothes and plastic bottles when you want someone to give the fault to. Actually if you want someone to give the fault too look at yourself and the people next to you. WE ARE DESTROYING THIS PLANET so it is left to zoos to take care of endangered species.

11年前養了我家的狗之後, 讓我開始瞭解並關心所有的狗; 而因為動物園透過小圓仔敘述的方式介紹許多瀕絕的動物, 讓我將關心的範圍擴大到所有過去不了解的動物. 感謝動物園員工們的用心與努力. 相信您們的努力, 大家都看見了.
大家要和和氣氣的看圓仔，一件事物本來就存在著不同的面向與觀點，只要本著愛護圓仔的心，都是可以相互交流討論的，但別因此傷了和氣，這樣不就枉費圓仔小寶貝帶給我們的歡樂喜悅了！

圓仔小寶貝走路不穩(地板也滑), 半走半滑, 屁股左一扭右一扭的, 超超超可愛的! 看到媽媽忙著吃竹葉不理她, 還自己去面壁裝可憐, 哈哈. 圓圓媽好溫柔好疼愛這個寶貝女兒, 連要叨她回房都小心翼翼的要找最好的角度咬才不會傷到心肝寶貝, 而且拖的時候也是溫柔輕輕的, 有這樣一個溫柔的媽媽, 我們家的圓仔小寶貝真是幸運.

剛看了Ipanda首頁「“圆仔”满一百天了！」的報導，才知道圓仔那時接受縫合手術時都沒有打麻藥，堅強的寶寶，同時，也真心感慨園方的付出，看到最後忍不住跟著眼紅紅，建議大家都去可以看看

To everyone complaining about the conditions these animals live in:
If you use a cell phone, drive a car, have electricity in your home, buy food from grocery stores, have a natural gas or propane line connected to your home, have carpet, vinyl, plastic or any other man made materials in your home, then you are the reason why they live in these conditions, you are why they have no wild habitat left to live in. If not for the Zoos then many species would already be extinct.
Whales were hunted to near extinction because people wanted them slaughtered for oil to burn so they could have light in their homes... Same thing(in principal) still happening 300 years later.
Wild habitats are destroyed so that consumers can have more worthless stuff and nothing else, so before you start crying about corporations and governments look at yourself and see if you are a part of the chain.
We the people are what enables them to make profit from claiming jungle for farmland, to build mines, oil fields, roads, create pollution, build factories, over harvest natural resources, and on and on.
Nature is a delicate complex web, and the more we partake in technology the more destruction we cause. The good news is that humans aren't powerful enough to destroy the Earth, only powerful enough to make it inhospitable to us, nature will reach its breaking point, correct the problem, shake us silly humans off and go on without us.
We do not own the Earth, it owns us, if you live against nature you will lose.

Pandas have less habitat because China is becoming overpopulated, and yes THEY have huge pollution problems, but America's industrialized growth and life style isn't directly affecting the pandas. Get your facts straight.
vg You said so, America is INDIRECTLY affecting the pandas. There's a lot of american industries taking advantage of cheap chinese workforce. This industries are stimulating a model of economy that has no restrains over resources (humans and nature, pandas included). Right now, the US (America is a country, not a nation) and most western powers are affecting the whole world.

作為是世界絕無僅有的貓熊。它的確與其他任何動物都不同，傳說貓熊是上古黃龍尊者的座駕，後來黃龍勸貓熊不要殺生，改吃素食，才可以躲過洪荒劫難，所以幾百萬年之後，貓熊依然能出現在我們的面前。顯然，貓熊是一個從善如流的乖寶寶哦。而它黑白相間的條文也代表了道家陰陽太極的理念。
