- If you're tired of changing amps between your clean, crunch, and heavy tone this might be the month for you! Abel is here to check out the all-new Meridian 31 included with the June update.
Based on the Peavey™ 3120™, and boasting three fully independent channels, this amplifier is capable of rounded cleans to aggressive animalistic metal tones with the gain-generous rhythm and lead channels. The amplifier also features the three-position “damping” switch to change how the tube poweramp interacts with the speakers.
As you'll hear, it covers a lot of ground!

When this amp was first announced my heart sunk a little - "Oh no, not another Peavey high gain amp" - but after playing it I'm blown away. It's one of the best amps in the suite. The high gains are so well balanced and cut through really well. The clean is amazing, that really surprised me, and works a great pedal platform.
Wow, that sounds amazing! Thank you for your regular updates.
I have a small suggestion for you. It would be really helpful to have a video explaining the different microphones available in the interface and how to identify the real microphones on which the emulations are based
Dude…..the last licks of the lead guitar in the end of the video is DOPE!
Good job stl
Ryan looking better and better each day. Gained some weight too, some mass. Noshing on Blake's muffins, no doubt.
😟😕🙁☹️
I am stoked to try this one later today...
I have a burning question as well, surrounding amp sims in general (I believe). Noise, such as a faint hiss/hum (akin to speaker noise?) in between slow, heavy palm muted chugs and sometimes after suddenly stopping is normal, yes?
Yes, you can mess with the Gate dial as well .
I appreciate all this updates with these underrated amps but i really think that a mesa boggie mark series amp is needed at this point, amphub has 90% of every famous "metal" amp in history but it misses one of the most important one.
We definitely hear the requests! We have a massive running list of what we want to do.
Apologies for another query...To Abel and everyone else, do you run the input at noon all the time, use the automated input level, etc?
Personally, I try and have the input sorted at the audio interface level. That way I'm not too worried about the input level of the plugin itself. That being said, there may still need to be tweaks on the plugin input depending on your soundcard, but ideally they should just be minor, if at all.

We recommend using the input listener!
This Ryan Reynolds guy gave me goosebumps with almost every riff
From the series: amps nobody cares about
I care. It's only positive that other good amps are modelled and available other than the 1000th version of 5150/dual rectifier etc.
@@eMoRdReD nah.. I want a Mark V or a Mesa Boogie Colosseum.. maybe a Badlander, a Friedman, a Modded Marshall…
@@guitarlair Agree. I need more mark V sim in the market. There are tons of peavey and EVH sim in the market, but only 2 mark V sim.
Make you’re own amp sim.
Wiseguy 🥸
The 3120 is hugely underrated imo
