Dave Dudley was an American country music singer best known for his truck-driving country anthems of the 1960's and 1970's and his semi-slurred bass.
Dave Dudley reigns supreme as the one and only king of trucker's country music.
Dave Dudley died from a heart attack at age 75 on December 22, 2003. Although he's sadly no longer with us, Dave Dudley's deep, rich, booming baritone voice and excellent and exciting trucker's country songs shall forever live on as long as there are 18-wheeler's hauling freight all over the world.

The first band accompanying him is truck stop. They had a major hit in germany with the song "Ich möcht' so gern Dave Dudley hör'n" (I'd love to hear some Dave Dudley) in 1977.

Where do you find his albums? Every record store i go to in CT, they look at me like im crazy when i ask for dave dudley or red sovine albums. I guess these yankees dont have class up here
@@chrisa7355 We had a ton of amazing record stores back in Detroit (where I'm from). Shopping for vinyl back in the days was awesome.
He was my Uncle. Yes - he was the sweetest man! Took me on stage once when I was itty bitty. I love this video in particular because this is more the age I remember him... I was about 12 when this video was made.

@@DanaPatriot Your uncle was an amazing singer and the truckers I've worked with still appreciate him to this day. He was an inspiration for a lot of us low singers who grew up in a world where everyone on the radio sounded like Mikey mouse on helium. Thanks for sharing him with us.
