This is what fame looks like when it comes to a humble and honest man. He's having fun and is enjoying himself! That's what music is about! Blessing people with good quality entertainment and music!!
Where do you find his albums? Every record store i go to in CT, they look at me like im crazy when i ask for dave dudley or red sovine albums. I guess these yankees dont have class up here
He was my Uncle. Yes - he was the sweetest man! Took me on stage once when I was itty bitty. I love this video in particular because this is more the age I remember him... I was about 12 when this video was made.
@chrisa7355 here are a lot of his albums on RUclips. Make sure you subscribe to that channel! He's got good stuff! (From a Baltimoron but southerner at heart!) ruclips.net/p/PLh4Nu322xfxJs9CmWPonnvMj2_-TBiE5N
@@DanaPatriot Your uncle was an amazing singer and the truckers I've worked with still appreciate him to this day. He was an inspiration for a lot of us low singers who grew up in a world where everyone on the radio sounded like Mikey mouse on helium. Thanks for sharing him with us.
The first band accompanying him is truck stop. They had a major hit in germany with the song "Ich möcht' so gern Dave Dudley hör'n" (I'd love to hear some Dave Dudley) in 1977.
Some say they walked home holding those mics. And that they once were a part of the transatlantic telegraph cable. All we know is, he's called Dave Dudley!

His voice is unchanged from 16 years earlier!

@@chrisa7355 We had a ton of amazing record stores back in Detroit (where I'm from). Shopping for vinyl back in the days was awesome.

Been listening to him since the 70's and up to this point I would have never known him if I fell over him.
He even had a German song called IM STAU.

I enjoyed that, and all the much more for the panning of the audience and seeing the woman in the black dress or pantsuit at 4:08.:)
Great clip! Please convert it to the correct 4:3 aspect ratio and re-upload.
He told that M.C. On that show that he drove a truck ???? I never knew that somebody corect me if I’m wrong !!!!
The germans clapping on each beat is the funniest shit, it almost destroyed the band's momentum
