    Thank you so much for this video. It made me feel even better about choosing a Leaperkim wheel. I'm especially liking that they are able to have some backward compatibility with safety features when possible.

    This tire actually performs really well offroad, like much better than other street tires. Check out Marty's video with Roger taking this wheel around a big offroad loop. Roger is tearing it up, and he said it performs almost better offroad than the lynx sometimes.

    • @JonahOnEUC
      @JonahOnEUC 4 месяца назад +1

      There are different kinds of offroad conditions. Rogers offroad experience is very fine dust, almost powder like in some areas, while the conditions are different where Gabe would be going offroad with damp/wet/soft ground, maybe even mud. I can see this tyre do well for Roger offroad, but for Gabe, it would still struggle with grip compared to a knobby tyre.

    • @ryangross5446
      @ryangross5446 4 месяца назад

      @@JonahOnEUC Yeah youve got a good point there, a true knobby would almost certainly perform markedly better in the mud. I mostly was hoping to point out that this tire seems to perform much better than other street tires on off road situations, although its certainly not going to perform like a knobby 100%

    I'd love to try a Sherman L but my Lynx seems just right with the weight and range. With the latest firmware I thought I saw acceleration assist in the menu. It seemed defaulted at 50.

    If I could ask you one thing it would be….. How stable is the L vs the Lynx at high speed? I have a Lynx but I’m very cautious to ride above 40-45mph because of poor road conditions & the Lynx being wobble happy IMO & many others opinions too.
    Thanks!

    Does the acceleration assist on the Sherman L feel similar to the acceleration assist on the v13?

      @@bobbilly6 good question. It's been a while since I've ridden the v13. But it's my understanding that the v13 uses a split riding mode, which this is not.

    Great review!! Regarding pedal assist ... Maybe with acceleration, the G- force/ momentum slight forward tilted pedals will help to keep your body centred as well as less fatigue for you calfs.

    I think a good seat for the Sherman L could have the handle designed into the back end of it, so you actually lift the seat, instead of the trolley.
    The seat would lift the trolley handle.
    What do you think?
    I hate the process of moving a seat out of the way to reach a trolley handle.
    Also I love the trolley handle improvement over the sticky, unreliable push button type.

    • @WheelGoodTime
      @WheelGoodTime  4 месяца назад

      Trolley handles are always a difficult thing for EUC manufacturers to perfectly integrate with a seat. I like your idea, sounds like the same seat as the one that is made for the V11 (more or less).

    Have you seen Marty's offroad Sherman L video? Seems like an incredible off road wheel to me.
    Also had an electromagnetic interference on my patton that dropped me suddenly. More safety is #1 on my list.

    • @WheelGoodTime
      @WheelGoodTime  4 месяца назад

      I watched parts of it, and I agree that it will be a great performer off road, but I disagree with Roger that it's the best all-around wheel. I think the lynx is better for all-around because it's lighter for jumps and trails, but the SL is no slouch either, especially with a quality trail tire like a shinko 244.

    • @miiroo2781

      @WheelGoodTime I think for someone who doesn't do hard-core offroad (jumps ext) seems like the L is a better choice. Probably more stable at 50+mph too. I'm mostly a street rider.

    • @WheelGoodTime
      @WheelGoodTime  4 месяца назад

      @@dustinhankins2153 for long range riding I prefer the L. For general high speed (and very, very stable) street riding, the L is better. For jumping and trail use, the Lynx is better, especially with my Shinko 244 knobby tire. The Lynx is more versatile for all around use, but the L is better if you stay on the street primarily.

    Leaperkim claims the L has more torque than the lynx. Is it true?

    • @WheelGoodTime
      @WheelGoodTime  4 месяца назад +1

      Where did you hear that? I have only seen that they claim there is more torque, but I haven't seen what they are comparing it to. Presumably, it's more torque than the Sherman S, because the L and the Lynx seem like they have virtually identical amounts of torque - they ride very similarly.

    A great city street wheel needs to be able to change direction fast to avoid cars that's why I love my Lynx but after about 6 miles of riding fast you lose about 4 mph speed before the first beeps, while this seems like a great advancement in practical riding I'm going to hold off on a new Leaperkim until they make a legit GPS 60 mph wheel with about a 4000 Watt hour battery, the Lynx top GPS speed before the first beeps set at 89 pwm is about 49 mph

    I don't mean to be a debbie downer, but this wheel will be obsolete/discontinued in a year at the rate Leaperkim releases wheels.
    That destroys my confidence in parts availability and tech support.
    Ive never seen this addressed.

    • @WheelGoodTime
      @WheelGoodTime  4 месяца назад

      @user-lw6sp5pk1y I think you are thinking of the wrong brand. LK Wheels have the absolute highest resale value compared to any other brand because of the slower rate of releasing new wheels (about one per year), and high demand for a very, very long time. Leaperkim also stocks parts for many years after a wheel is released. You might be thinking of Begode?
