After at least 3 years of watching Patrick’s videos and fantasizing nearly everyday about owning an airstream… we brought our brand new 23 20FB caravel home on Monday January 8. It doesn’t seem real… the excitement of being able to use one is something that I don’t think you can show on a video. Thanks Patrick! We feel as though we know you.

Nice big Kitchen and dry bathroom for a trailer this size. I would give up that TV for a bigger ref with separate door for the freezer though. You go camping to enjoy nature and the outdoors. and of course eat.

Nifty layout, very solid presentation. If I had such a trailer, the one unusual thing I'd want to do is rip out the dinette table and put in a window facing office style desk instead.
I'd so much rather have the view directly ahead of me as I work or eat rather than the ubiquitous straight backed feeding station that dominates most trailer interiors.
Most likely I'd build it around a single person desk, but I've also seen a few such designs that created a side by side shallow desk for a couple to sit beside each other while gazing outward.

My dream would be this layout, with 2 more feet extended out the front, with all of that put in closets. I would call it the airstream photographers edition.

Nice floor plan! Probably the best. But would want a larger fridge/freezer; and the kitchen counter top should be same continuous height all the way around… that and Airstrem needs to replace their task lighting lamps to something less cheap and more durable… these yellow and crack over time.

Great video. When I want to know about AS, there’s no better source than Patrick. That said, what do you mean by the tv having ports for streaming? Do you mean HDMI ports? Would be great to know the make and model of tv. Thanks!!
The HDMI Port you can plug devices into for streaming. Some new 2023's and all 2024;s will have smart TV's.
I would have settle with a 2 jacknife bed. With big table hook up between the jacknife. And two reclining chair in from off the tv. Řeplacing dining table. Big bathroom. 😅

We have a 20 ft camper, (not an Airstream) and I bought a model with no dinette. I wanted a sofa,for those rainy days we are forced inside. Wish Airstream had that option.
The surveys rarely mention a ant for a sofa in such a small model.

Is it smart to carry a generator with you at all times in case of power outtages?
And will a large honda generator power the whole thing?
Some owners carry generators. a 3000kw or larger is recommended.
Agree best floor plan under 25 feet which sadly won’t work with TV or VT hillside home. We have a 2022 20FB. Only downside side is the 48x78 bed. Wish they made camper an extra 6-8 inches in length to give it the slightly larger but more practical for two midsize adults 54x80 bed that the 22 single axel has. That said I’ve been in the 22 and 23 and not a fan of the kitchen or cramped dinette. Ventilation not as good in 22/23 than 20 either. Dinette bed in 20 FB is easy to set up if each adult wants more sleeping space but it’s not as comfortable as the front bed mattress.
Appreciate the feedback on the 20FB floor plan from your own prospective.
About the stabilizers, do they keep the trailer from rolling away when you’re not hitched to your tow vehicle?
That is not what they are meant for. Wheel chocks are recommended.
When you showed the belly, there were some hoses running under the belly. What are this for?
There are LP lines in rubber protective sleeves.

Twin beds are available in The Flying Cloud & International models 23FB and up.

Yesterday I commented about the 16 ft Bambi being priced at 80,500, a comment said this is 87,700? Same year?
A 16RB Bambi is not priced at $80,500.00 that was the 16RB Caravel video you were watching. They are different model lines with different features. This is a 20FB Caravel and is larger than a 16RB Caravel is is priced slightly higher.

Great camper -- but I want the water fills behind a lock, preferably behind a door. I would not accept that as-is. It's 2023 -- it needs to be tamper-proof and it's an easy one to do.

Why is the interior so dark? Please someone give feedback to RV manufacturers, dark interiors make your space look smaller!
Airstream offers light and dark decors on similar floor plans. The sales numbers are split 50/50.

Patrick is very well know in the RV community. He has been with us for 25 years and has his own channel as well.
Wish that Patrick could speak clearly. He is enthusiastic but I have to search back and replay sections to understand what he’s saying.
We have closed caption on the videos, it picks up everything that Patrick is saying in the video
Patrick is very good but his videos are very long and super detailed, for me I skip alot of info because from model to model it is basically the same and you never seem to have a good overview of the entire floor plan to give you a good picture of the model.

Airstream is a beautiful trailer but ridiculously overpriced.
