Lately, I get depressed that I haven't achieved anything big in tech yet. Sometimes I feel suicidal, your point about hope is very correct. jab bhi career switch ki sochta hu, har jagah toh competition aur saturation hai, kaha hi jaunga.
Big tech is not a huge achievement anyway. Many people are voluntarily leaving because of unsuitability and uncertainty in tech and starting their own projects. Heck, there are many other avenues to earn better income besides tech... it's one of the silliest reasons beat yourself up over.

i do agree that its saturated but also the love for this subjects is sooo intense i cant resist sir. i still remember my childhood(when i was 6, 2009) when my father brought a IBM. my love for computer started and still after soo many years i am in college and code and study these subjects for hours and hours like an addiction. So moral is "It is what it is", ill better be doing something i love for the next 40 years rather than hating my job.

If you literally developed a taste and interest for subject like operating system, digital electronic, computer hardware, networking apart from coding, then consider yourself a genius because only I know the pain in the a-ss it was to study these subjects, except the coding part which is fun.
I m a 34 mom to a 4yr baby , non IT graduate in 2014... Learning webdev to get my first job in IT 😊 Watching tutorials practicing it and adding to my git ...Its all my hardwork believe And hope that very soon I get it .... Mean while I see a kid from a btech college with Cs crying over AI might take his job.... Isn't he support to take it as a challenge? I so want to give them hope but why anyone will trust me .... Anyway thank you Hitesh sir for giving the valuable hope to this young generation in the times of fear mongering youtuber who are saying Ai will take all away.... Thank you so much

@@myrealm7115 Reality is these you tubers make money from these kind of emotional videos and keep manipulating and milking the herd. 2023 me 2.6 lacs+ layoffs hue IT sector me. 2024 me ab tak around 60k layoffs ho chuke hai. AI bull market ka leader Nvidia tha and apart from it, every other big company such as Microsoft, Apple, AMD, Google, etc. sab ke AI products ke wajah se hi stocks prices badhe hai. Reality yahi hai ki companies cost cutting kar rahe hia, layoffs kar rahe hai taki AI me invest kar paye. Web/App development is on the verge of extinction. Aaj ki hi news hai, Microsoft Teams app ke chat feature wale developers ko layoff karenge because they're shifting their interest towards AI features. I'll tell you one more stat, so far only 64% of IIT Bombay students have been placed in this placement season. Even in my college (IIT Dhanbad) only 50% students got placed this year (2022-23 had around 80%+ placements till Feb23 - my graduation year). Nvidia's CEO said that English would become the new coding language in the next 5 years. Many AI godfathers around the globe have said that AGI will be achieved under 5 years. In ytubers ko tum sab ko behka ke paisa aur channel growth mil raha hai. Inka kaam hi hai apne courses bechna. Agar logo ne preparation chhod di toh courses kaun kharidega

I left web development 3 yrs ago, in my college there are around 30k students who are gonna graduate next academic yr. I've spoken to a lot of them, observed them, and realised that how can I stand out from them, everyone says I know development, why not to try on deployment? This question to myself made me to explore DevOps and cloud, which I felt more interesting than web and now I chose to get deep into this by writing some research papers, review papers, teaching DevOps and cloud in my university from GDSC , and so on... It depends on you, actually the field you want you to work. I agree with hitesh, give it a try, and let's see! ❤
