I still regret i wasn't able to go see you guys play in São Paulo, when my best friend's band opened for you (they are called Rebels and Sinners. Gordo, the lead singer, is like a brother to me).

Whistle the Wind resonated with my soul the first time I heard it, having just lost a dear friend. Fine playing and that voice!!! Slainte to you both! A wonderful young lass (coincidentally named Molly) I worked with wore a leather jacket with "Flogging Molly" low on the back where it couldn't be missed. I wish I could thank her properly for the introduction. :)

I am a bit surprised he is doing this song. He wrote this for me when we were married and he was on the road all the time. I didn’t even think Bridget let him sing this song knowing it was for me. Maybe she grew a bit…but I can see see when he sings it where his heart is. There is an ocean where I am and where I want to be is when we missed each other when he was on the road. I know he loved me. I miss my friend at times. Slantie

Thanks for doing this guys. So many of your songs transport me back to cherished times in my fleeting memories. Laughs and long nights with friends, when I first met my beautiful wife, and the formidable days when I was figuring out who I was. My cousin is in his final days, we grew up singing Flogging Molly, and later playing a lot of their music as we started a band. He’s always been like a brother to me, even closer than my own brother and I.
Whistles the Wind was the song we always sang together when a friend or loved one died. Now I have the painful honor of singing it to him this one last time.
