Admiring your vest Chris. Very colorful , beautiful work. Happy to watch a new tutorial in beading. Love the cobalt blue 💙 beads. Going to order them ...I have your new catalog to refer to. 🌌
I'll have to watch 10 times because I keep stopping to look at the background items. I've seen all WB videos and they have the best clear, concise instructions. Thank you for the time you give us.
Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us! I learned how to make a rosette watching Andy on wandering bull. I love the beautiful work you both do. I learned how to make "a big ugly knot" 😂
I guess im asking the wrong place but does anyone know a way to get back into an instagram account?? I was dumb forgot the password. I would appreciate any help you can offer me
@Zahir August I really appreciate your reply. I got to the site thru google and I'm waiting for the hacking stuff now. Takes a while so I will reply here later with my results.
Awesome, i just got my beads i order from you guys today. going to try t this method of stitching as well now once I'm done with my first project LOL. thanks for the beads always good quality.
Hi Tanya! We suggest looking at a piece of beadwork and creating your own based off that. Another option is to take a loom work pattern and then adapt it to lazy stitch (3 beads at a time). This is a good book with some lazy stitch examples in the center. Thanks for watching! wanderingbull.com/shop/media/books/north-american-indian-beadwork-patterns/
A few questions. Can you link the needle you are using? Should I bead wool trade cloth the same way going halfway through the cloth or completely going out and back in each time? I broke a needle when I first attempted. Is that something normal or am I doing something wrong? Thanks for the video!
Hey thanks for watching! When using wool cloth, you should go all the way through the material, completely going out and back in each time. It is common to break beading needles, with time you will find it happens less frequently. I'm not sure what you mean by linking the needle. Could you send more info?
I just started watching tutorial on how to make moccasins and beading, I have went thru a lot of tutorial on RUclips, and can Not find one person to explain what size needles to use for leather or which needles to use for beads, bead needles are to flimsy to use with beads to go thru leather. Or needle to fat for beads to go on needle, very confusing when trying to learn this beautiful hobby, I only hope one person can explain throughly the sizes of needles and what size Beads. Maybe put info in th3 description box for further education on the hobby, thank you for showing such beautiful work, blessings🙏
Thanks for watching. We do use beading needles or short beading needles called sharps. If you use 10/0 beads you would use a 10/0 beading or sharp needle. If using 11/0 beads you would use a 11/0 beading needle or sharp. We do not go all the way through the leather, just catch about a pinch just enough to hold the thread and not pull it though it.
I'm partial to the size 10 glover's needles from John James--thin enough to string most beads, but also with the triangular tip to pierce leather. I almost always work with 11/0 Czech seed beads, and the size 10 works well (although you'll occasionally get an irregular one with a hole that's too small). After a while, the needles get bent and occasionally snap, so do be prepared for that. Good luck!
Hello there - I'm so happy to find the hard sole leather on your site so I can finally make the Lakota style mocs for me and my sons. Is there anywhere to find a coupon code ? Just asking. I'm purchasing regardless but like to save anywhere I can - Nyah weh
Hello Melissa, there should be a pop up box when you go to WanderingBull.com to sign up for our emails. This will give you a 10% off coupon if you sign up. Thanks for watching !

Its hard to tell without seeing the piece you are working on. You do want to keep it even and not pull too tight. If you would like to send some images it would help me to give some advice. Thanks for watching!
Is there a significance to using 9 beads per row? I learned from another person who is also Native American but she used 10 per row. Just curious. Thank you.
Thank you for watching. It depends on your pattern and how it will work out. We find an uneven number works better for most patterns. We often will do 7 per row.
Why you make Knot´s when it is easier to make 2-3 Stitches close to the Point you start with your first Row. its possible on Leather and Canvas, I never notice Knots on old Beadwork.
Thats an awesome gift your son gave you.
Thank you, & thanks for watching!

So can you bead moccasins like this if they're already sewn together?
You would add the beads to the moccasins after they are sewn together.

Paha Stitch (hill stitch)
Thanks for watching! We have never heard to the this stich referred to as either of those, but it does resemble a hill with the curve!

I use knots because I want to keep the beads in tact. Over time they tend to loosen up. Thank you for watching!
