I had been looking for a dedicated powered speaker as an alternative to running my acoustic kick trigger through my practice space PA, and came across this... This being an amp that's purpose built and meant to handle the low end of a bass drum, etc. has been an absolute godsend.

@@randymccoy2527 Yeah, I love mine. I trigger my acoustic kick through a Roland TM2 module and a RT30K kick trigger. It has a ton of low end and is plenty loud enough to be easily heard over my acoustic kit.

Great video ! It looks like the video was dated two years ago. I need to ask a few questions. I was given a electronic drum set , my first one. I practice at my church, outside under a pavilion which is on 10 acres. I need something like this to plug my electronic drum set into, and my cell phone to send music thru from youtube so I can practice . The two other things are, I need to plug in a mic, as I also sing to a few songs, and I want it loud, very loud ! I am the type of guy that likes overkill on everything, my motorcycle, my muscle car, and now this. What few options would you recommend ? I am in electronic drum class 101 here. Thank you in advance for your reply.

Does this have more power than the Simmons DA2110? I bought a DA2110 for a small gig and it was woefully underpowered. I had to crank the volume on Titan 50 module and on the amp to max and it still wasn't loud enough. I'm not convinced the DA2112 will be much better so does anyone have a recommendation for an amp or powered speaker with some serious punch? Would like to keep it simple (single unit) for small gigs.

I have an alto ts315, and I am having the same issue. Everything is very bassy. I am assuming in need to get some sort of equalizer to clean the sound going through and cut out all the bass to let the higher frequency stuff be clearer. I could be very wrong, I only recently got the PA speakers, and I am still researching exactly what I need to do to clean the sound up.

The total volume going to you Amp on the speaker is based on the sum total of the iPad Gain ( volume ) + the gain on the back of the speaker. look at it like 50% iPad volume + 50% Speaker gain also make sure to use the right cable look for this on amazon ( 1/8" TRS to Dual 6.35mm 1/4" TS Mono Stereo Y-Cable )

But like how hot does that thing get and how far does that cone travel when you’re shoveling 2000 watts of power into it. I mean that’s literally more power than a toaster oven and the coil on the speaker is around the same size as the wires in a toaster oven. Bet it gets hot enough to fry an egg.
