Exactly how I felt. Someone pointed out to me how it's a mix of all the previous seasons and openings. You can hear the themes of S1 in the first few minutes and again after calmer portion of the song. You can hear the second part of S1 in the guitar and more battle like theme following the calm portion too. At the end you can hear the cadence of Shinzou Sasageyo. And the calmer part is def a reference to the calmer parts of the series or Red Swan. The Shinzou Sasageyo part also makes sense in the lyrics because of what the lyrics foreshadow which also reflect how Shinzou's lyrics foreshadow the rest of the series. Truly a great opening that deserves way more attention.
