About True Beauty (여신강림):
Im Joo Kyung (Moon Ga Young) is a high schooler who is upbeat and positive about most things - except for her appearance!
She hates the idea of being seen in public without makeup, but fortunately has become a self-taught makeup expert, with a little help from a plethora of internet video tutorials.
What she has learned online has transformed her life. At school, she is known as one of the prettiest girls in class - although she secretly lives in fear of her schoolmates discovering what she looks like behind the makeup!
In fact, there is only one person from school who has ever seen her minus her “mask” - Lee Su Ho (Cha Eun Woo).
He is a top-grade student with impressive basketball skills. He is also dashingly handsome, and many of his female classmates have a crush on him.
However, Lee Su Ho harbors a few dark secrets from his past, and shuns attention in class.
Slowly, these two individuals become drawn together - and learn more about one another’s secrets!
This drama was based on a long-running web-based cartoon of the same name, penned by Yaongyi.
“True Beauty” is a 2020 South Korean drama series that was directed by Kim Sang Hyub.

2. The rich students will be a bully..like hitting students and damaging their things.. Even if the rich kid is the main lead..he/she will always be a bully
3. The poor main lead will always have a close family but the rich lead will have parents who either are divorced or dnt speak to each other

The thing is, she never applied makeup to be the goddess, or gain attention, she just want to make her life better, and she was insecure just like every other but also bully and traumatised by yer family and schoomate, the only bad thing she did was hide her true self and the true beauty of her that is acceptance and self love that this drama is all about

I literally read the whole webtoon series in like 6-8 hours lol! I stayed up to like 4 am reading it! I had heard about the webtoon story and wanted to see what all the hype was about! Now i absoluetly LOVE the series and am excited to read more!

Published Author's Review: Took me forever to watch this drama because I thought it be just another high school flick. I was wrong. Fell in love with the ml never mind I'm almost 20 years his senior. Some found him possessive, I found him terrified of losing the one person he felt loved him. There was a mix of comedy and seriousness. It touched on the real life pain of bullying and the consequences of it. I shed a couple of tears in between. A true testimony to the phrase "Beauty is in the eyes of the Beholder"
All in all it was a good watch. My one issue with these dramas is that it can make the fl come across as a little pathetic sometimes A guy hurts her in whatever way and she runs back without a proper apology from him. I'm always up for second chances and redemption, however at least let the guy work for it a little.
