I love to cook different stuff from around the world. Some people kinda specialize to recipes from a certain region. I'm way to picky to determine on a single one. I can say that there is a lot of stuff from japan under my favorites in comparison to some other countries. But also a lot of german, french, czech, russian, turkish, iranian, indian, korean and african food is up on that list. Sadly i don't have money to travel a lot, but someday i wanna visit all the places i haven't seen yet including japan
I love the traditions. As a beautiful African-American woman I have incorporated the best of the best from several different cultural traditions and their celebrations in my home
I have chronic digestive issues which means that i sometimes cant eat heavy, greasy American type food (fried, cheesy) and even raw healthy salads are not easily digested. I have found that simple, small Japanese (and a lot of other Asian cuisine) is perfect for people like me. All vegies are prepared to take the "bite" out. Light cooking to break them down without being mushy. And rice is the easiest carb to digest. Sometimes i mix up the seasonings to get something more Italian or Mexican, but the Japanese way of preparing food and pairing the meal with a broth, warm soup is great for digestive health! Plus your vids are so relaxing!
I've watching a lot of videos and it's great for normal people who want to cook at home. I learned a lot of dishes using simple methods. Thank you so much. Ps. You don't have to be so modest, you got great cooking skills.

Thanks for sharing, love Japanese foods. light and gentle taste also less oily. The cultures can be quite different sometimes. Western people are more prefer eating without making a sound, eating food quietly like a bird, only the sound of the knife and fork scraping the plate can be heard, but eastern asian (China, Korea and Japan) prefer to make a loud chewing sound, which means the food is yummy.

I'm kinda into learning new recipes from different cuisines. I'm a 36 single mom and living in tx. I don't really eat japanses food because the restraunts that serve it are expensive. Same with this and Vietnamese. I at least have learned to make a few variations of miso soup, and how to make my own kimchi to eat as a side or use for things like kimchi fried rice. I know kimchi is mostly a Korean food, but I also know it's found in Japanese and other far eastern cuisines. Loving this easy starter how to video. I think some of tge sides would nicely compliment a miso soup or noodle dish. That or a good old stir fry! Hope to see more stuff to try. I might haveprobs finding bonito flakes though. I wonder what I could sub for them if I can't find them?
