The Stout and Baltoro have different suspension systems. The Baltoro uses a more flexible and sturdy A3 (Automatic Angle Adjust) suspension that will move with the user creating more evenly balanced loads and weight transfer. The Stout is relatively rigid, so you may experience more pressure points, hot spots or abrasion. Also, the framing isn't quite as sturdy with the Stout. A few other small differences exist, but those are the major ones. Thanks for watching!
The framing and suspension of these packs are very different. The Stout is almost like a simplified Baltoro. These are meant to hold pretty good weight, but also not be so advanced and expensive. They're more for a first-time or entry-level backpacker. The Zulu pack is a little more specialized. It's for the lightweight backpacker who wants a very breathable suspension system. This "trampoline" style system grants an exceptional amount of air flow and breathability in comparison to standard packs.
Trying to decide if I need the 45...or the 65. I'm kinda new to this, and mainly just want to do 2-3 days at a time.
Any review of the Stout 65, 2017 version. Is it better than the older one?
I see that it is lighter, adjustable and the day pack has disappeared.
The bag also now has an adjustable harness and sleeping bag compartment - there should really be an updated review.
You have any thoughts on the Stout 65 vs the Paragon 68? Great review videos all around!

No sleeping bag compartment? Besides that, what are the main differences between this an the baltoro ( besides price!)

massdrop has them on sale right now as of 4/14/2017
Can I take this bag as a flight carry-on
This bag will be too large to be used as a carry-on.

can the hip belt or shoulder straps be adjusted for different torso sizes?
The pack comes in different sizes to match up with different torso lengths. The hip belts are slightly adjustable on each pack. Thanks for watching!
