You still need to pay someone to fly it, someone to maintain it, hanger it, insure it, fuel it… ect. just to give an example if you land a midsize jet at Chicago Midway, if you dont buy fuel from the FBO, they’ll charge you $3000 just to open the door and let someone out.

Private Jet Pilot here… when you buy a jet, that’s just the down payment. It still costs MILLIONS of dollars to operate it. You still need to pay someone to fly it, someone to maintain it, hanger it, insure it, fuel it… ect. just to give an example if you land a midsize jet at Chicago Midway, if you dont buy fuel from the FBO, they’ll charge you $3000 just to open the door and let someone out.
