Synopsis: Takes place after season 6, the team goes back to Earth, Keith has a lot of feelings, Lance is planning on leaving the team, and things get complicated.

I am just going to ignore season 8 bc i felt so bad for lance the entire time. He deserved sooo much better. First of all i feel like the Allura and lance together was just way to toxic. He liked her more then she liked him.
And not to mention but klance should have happened.
I could write a whole paper on why Allurance was regressive for both characters. If it had been planned from day one that'd be one thing, but it was horribly rushed, and Lance TOTALLY loved her more (I'd even argue it was just infatuation since we never saw the transition, but..that would just cheapen Lance's character further.) I don't think I remember one instance of Allura ever like...telling Lance how important he was to the team or WHY she even liked him?? She just blushed one day and then they kissed. Lance deserved to be so much more than a love interest. I think they could have given him one of the most amazing character arcs since Zuko in ATLA.
I'm still a Sheith shipper, but I did feel really bad for Lance, he definitely got screwed over.
Steph Willer So did Keith and Shiro this season. Like I’m broganes all the way, but they deserved at least one scene together of just them like...acknowledging all that they’ve been through? Sigh.

I suffer for Lotor, that plot twist didn't even make sense and his parents are redeemed but he ends up melted? that's super cruel, he didn't even have a trial or they listened to him, they just knocked him out and then attacked they sided a breakdonw and killed

Sara Stanley what I wanted to happen. Allura dies(really dont want her too but hey this works) as she says her goodbyes to lance she says don’t forgot to love again when I am gone. And she walks away and stuff goes on but later Keith admits his feelings to lance and they get together like in the year later they are dating and lance helps Keith with his war relief efforts.
I’m glad I’m not the only one
Spoiler: Lance threw away his whole life after Allura’s death? I feel like he just made himself miserable staying in her shadow, growing her favorite flowers, preaching her sacrifice. He needed to let go and move on. He had such hopes for a big family of his own. I care about Lance’s happiness and where season eight left off was just devastating to me. How could that just be it to his life? He finally gets the girl of his dreams and then she is just gone; he is just lonely.
Admittedly, I got into Voltron for Klance. I love them to death and I can’t believe that Voltron is over. I’ve been with them since before season three. But putting all that aside, you really did do a wonderful job with this. So much time and care was put into this video. I miss them already and how much they’ve done for me. I just wanted my two boys to be happy. I hope Lance ended up with Keith and moved on. I hope they found love in each other like I’ve seen on screen. And I guess I can write that in for them with it being over...

And yeah, I've been watching since season 1 first aired, and I honestly shipped Allurance and Shallura the first season, and I didn't know which direction they were taking it. I kind of thought Klancers were crazy to think they'd actually go through with an lgbt couple, but then I watched the pool scene in S2 and I was like...blown away because it was legit only something you'd write for a romantic couple? And after that, I started to see that the only development Lance and Keith were getting was through their relationship to each other, and they started to become my OTP.
Lance was my favorite character, not because of how he was written, but because of his (wasted) potential, and he did not deserve to have his entire character arc revolve around one girl who only returned his feelings last minute. He had no backstory. No flashbacks. Nothing of substance. And then they put the Cuban boy with all the insecurities about not being good enough for Voltron back on a farm (*cough cough racist*), devoted to the girl who imo never accepted him for who he was. BAD MESSAGE people.
I liked that they left it open-ended, but Allura should not have died, and Lance deserved to be happy (regardless of who he ended up with). But I'd like to think Klance would happen eventually, and Keith would drag Lance back into the world. He's "the future" after all.
gtgrandom And I’ve never had such a hard time getting through a season of any show like I’ve had getting through season eight. It was all so artificial for me. Allura didn’t seem right. She wasn’t the strong female lead that I loved. Allurance happening took away from both of their characters. Lance deserved more. Allura deserved more. It could have been executed so much better and maybe then I would have accepted them as a decent pairing. Season eight took away the quirks that made me love them. My already low expectations were blown up into particles. Allura didn’t have to die, but they killed her off to not only “progress” her character but also Lance’s. It just sucks. The math doesn’t add up and I think it’s because they didn’t “leave the math to Pidge”
@@VioletLovesJesus724 100% agree. They could have made Allurance great, even just in the span of season 8, but they didn't! And what about Coran? Was he not Allura's family??? And omg, after the first couple episodes, I honestly skipped through the rest of the show bored out of my mind. The fight scenes were a little better than season 7, but then it became all magic bursts of light and I had no idea what was happening XD
gtgrandom Oml, right?!?! Just so much pissed me off. I mean Coran didn’t even get to say goodbye to her? He was the only man in her life who had been by her side through thick and thin. I needed that closure. Why wasn’t he there?
@@VioletLovesJesus724 Bruh, idk what the writers were thinking this season, but it didn't feel like they gave us any closure at all lmao. I've never left a show so...disturbed by unanswered questions and purposeless plot points

Ran9113 Yeah the writing staff sounds like it was a complete mess that didn’t know what the future seasons were going to look like, which explains so much. I honestly don’t understand how you could hurt your own characters because of fans? Like I would NEVER do that to my OCs - their story is everything to me, and so is their happiness and growth? The tragedy of Voltron will always be its potential.
Theirs a reason the writer didnt make the part because keith doesnt want lance to be confuse and yes its pain full to not see them together at list were shiro got married im happy for him

Hunay, Veracxa- this ships are gone. Why? McClains arent definately straight. Remember, when Veronica was talking about Keith with Lance? Cuute. Without Hunay, Veracxa, Klance, Zethrid x Ezor and Adam being alive in s08, DREAMWORKS YOU HAVE TO MAKE A FILM WHICH WILL MAKE THESE SHIPS REAL. THANKS, FUCK YOU.

Gt, thank you. You always know just what to do. As far as concerned season 8 never happened. (I'll just find a fanfiction to fill its place. XD.) It was rushed, cliche, and overall just plain sad.Even if I didn't ship Klance I still would stand by this. Lance never got the arc he deserved and he deserved a better ending than a lonely farmer mourning the death of his gf. I'm mostly upset with the fact that we were baited into believing one thing and it ended up being something completely different. We were promised lgbtq rep and what we got was just a random end scene of shiro and a random guy. (Curtis? Who the hell is that?) They should've just not made anything canon and just gave those nice shipable moments to let the fans pick. Regardless, I still love the overall series and I think most people still do as well. It touched me in a way that I could never explain. Voltron will always have a place in my heart.
Anyways, I just wanted to thank you for still putting out tributes despite the circumstances. You have been there for me since young justice (hope that isn't shitty too😪) and... Idk. XD. Anyways love a Gt grandom. And don't forget "Klance is canon King! "💙❤

I loved this!! I thought I could get behind Allura and Lance because I loved them both!... but Lance just seemed so sad? There's a few videos I watched about how in even the LAST season Allura showed NO interest in Lance (Hello, rebound) and always seemed annoyed... although with Mister Heart-eyes Keith all the time, I wouldn't be surprised if I missed other hints. I wanted better for my boy :C
I shipped Allurance the first season because I thought they were going to develop their relationship throughout the series, but they DIDN'T. Lance was always so concerned about her and her wellbeing, but that was like...never reciprocated? She freaked out once when he "died" but that was basically it. Even their date was sad! TT Lance deserved the world. So did Allura. The writers tried to pull off a romantic tragedy but they failed.

Call me naive, but I just joined the fandom 2 weeks ago and I still have hope that Klance may happen in a spinoff movie. I'm just sad. It feels like it will never be enough. There won't be a new season and therefore no more possible Klance. The only thing stronger than fear, is hope. But there is none anymore. Hope was what got us all going on this ship. But the canon hit and it hit hard. They sank the ship in the bay, with an open ending to create new hope and for the survivors. I won't forget that I'm not on the ship anymore. It won't ever be enough.
Yeah it sucks. This whole season left me depressed for so many different reasons. But I have quite a few non-canon OTPs, and it honestly gets better after the initial blow (fanon vld is so much better anyway). I'm still Zutara trash after a whole decade, and fanfiction is so, so good for the soul XD It'll get better. We don't need to be canon to cherish klance

ShipperBoy A lot of my favorite shows have pulled this stunt recently where they have two characters briefly fall in love, one dies, and then the other mourns them for years, constantly reminded of their pain. That’s just so messed up?!!! So I’m ignoring canon completely, but if Lance did lose Allura I know he’d bounce back, and Keith would be there to help him.

Melanie Avendano Yeah I spent way more time on trying to tell the story than I did on the masking/editing. Also I have to work on the lowest quality setting of my laptop or my computer will freeze up, so I don’t really see the imperfections until I render it XD. Lol but thanks ❤️

I'm far from watching season 8 right now (I'm only on season 6) but from what I've heard, season 8 doesn't look too promising. I'll have to judge for myself though, imo.
