They are far better dancers than I, however, I am deeply surprised at the title 04 World Champion, my only critique is there timing...the guy does a great job always smiling at the audience, something hard to do.

.A.B is one of the best dancers actually and here, most of the dance is not about salsa, mostly oriental/belly dance. he must be cheered not because of his salsa skills (because, i think there very many better salsa performers); due to his creativity,his overall dancing skills (belly /oriental dancing,hip hop, etc...). he is also an important master on careography.
I should edit something after 11 years. Aytunç Bentürk style is so natural and smooth. There are foreign and local male performers doing difficult moves and combos very fast. But I have not felt the same. Bentürk is one of the best allround dancers ever.
I was expecting to see AMAZING unique championship salsa dancing, not the same moves you see at a local salsa club. Looked like she did a bit of a belly flop at the end. But it was still nice to watch.
The answer is no. In Turkey, it is common practice that female and males belly dance together. It is very passionate, sexy and full of emotion... It is quiet sexist and narrow to think only females can belly dance.

Firstly salsa has lots of variations and colombian, la style, new yor style , cuban etc.. This is free style, not colombian or new york style. Also all performances are coreographed, even the colombian ones. I am myself have been long time, it is easy to judge can you do better?
I agree. Champions are supossed to be the absolute best at what they do. If they are the best I don't wanna see the worst. I'm not jelous of them, I've just seen better. He dances way better than she does.
this is not salsa...and they are defitnetly not salsa champions...they need to go to colombia so they can learn a thing or 2...leave the salsa to the colombians
i didn't like it at all!!! if they are the world champions, i don't wanna imagine how others dance it... i think dancesport dancers would dance salsa muuuuch better. they are faster and move the hips better. my opinion. salsa dancers don't take it personally:D
