One of my favorite things about Secret Rings is how Sonic is characterized as someone who wants to do everything ASAP. Like when he just immediately jumps into the cannon at 1:09 with no hesitation just because it's there and looks entertaining.

Honestly in a sonic game period Riding a bullet, dodging cannon fire, grinding invisible rails, surviving tidal waves on a carpet, giving shara a heart attack This level is great
I think almost all of the levels in Rush Adventure were inspired by this Plant Kingdom/Dinosaur Jungle Machine Labyrinth/Evil Foundry Coral Cave/Pirate Storm (Cave) Haunted Ship/Pirate Storm Sky Babylon/Levitated Ruins (Ok, not really) Pirates’ Island/Sand Oasis (Town) I like to think of Rush Adventure as Dimps’s take on Secret Rings
2:08 Man they even knew back then to not put random flouting rails but instead make them invisible and as secret paths. Might be due to the game not having the lightspeed dash but come on
Yeah this game had a lot of kickass things going for it, its just...that fucking control man really brings it down for me :\, if this was re-released with better controls i would probably love it.
I wish SEGA re-release this game (Secret Rings) with normal controller function, instead of sensor control. I love this game but I hate playing it on sensor bar.
People give this game WAY too much hate. Literally one of the better Sonic games I’ve played. Sure the controls were jank as hell, but that just makes me want a remaster with an action controller instead of the wii remote
