Show Synopsis: "Suits" delves into the fast-paced, high-stakes world of a top Manhattan corporate law firm where hotshot associate Harvey Specter (Gabriel Macht, “Love & Other Drugs”) makes a risky move by hiring Mike Ross (Patrick J. Adams, “Old School”) a brilliant but unmotivated college dropout, as his associate. As he becomes enmeshed in this unfamiliar world, Mike relies heavily on the firm’s best paralegal Rachel (Megan Markle, “Horrible Bosses”) and Harvey's no-nonsense assistant Donna (Sarah Rafferty, “Brothers & Sisters”) to help him serve justice. With a photographic memory and the street smarts of a hustler, Mike proves to be a legal prodigy despite the absence of bonafide legal credentials.

Fun fact: In real life, Anita Gibbs could be kicked off the committee by judicial review. In other words, Mike could go to court and argue that Gibbs was clearly biased, and the court would order a fair hearing without Anita Gibbs present.
@szc13 Very interesting fact, thank you.
You are indeed correct my friend, thank you for spreading your knowledge ☺️
I love suits. My friend is a law student and he asked if it’s worth watching. I know fo Lena fact this show isn’t accurate so I said he’d definitely hate it. I said all the lawyers do is slide files across the table.
She is the real corrupt lawyer.
@@slobiden.2593 wrong
It bugs me that Anita Gibbs isn't shown agressively pursuing Criminals other than Mike.
It would've been nice, yeah. On one hand I'm glad they didn't go with a cliche route of Mike doing something to save or win a case for Anita, but on the other it certainly would've done a lot for her presence as a character to be shown doing anything else the way other characters of the time like Kevin Miller were.
I know right! She waisted her time on some kid who just wanted to be a lawyer whilst there were murderers, rapists basically actually dangerous people out there who wanted to cause harm. It made her look weak, the way she just kept coming after Mike. He went to jail, he served his time. He obviously learnt his lesson so just leave him be. What would she have accomplished if she did not allow him to become a lawyer.
@@856Edwin That's not quite how I meant it. Some of those criminal types you mention might not have been in her jurisdiction as a fraud prosecutor after all (though I'm not going to pretend to be clued in on the US justice structure, the accuracy of the way Suits portrayed it or even Anita Gibbs's position within that). If I remember her last appearance was working on other matters never depicted when turning Mike away in season 7; I'd have just liked to have seen more about what she had been getting up to outside of her brief Mike-focused clash with PSL.
Our tax dollars at work. To further a lawyer's potential future political career. Nothing new and nothing will ever change
like how they did with Sean Cahill - Gibbs coming back to do something together with Harvey and Mike is def a cliche sure, but would have helped us like her more lol but then again it's not the writers job to make all characters likeable so.
Donna says I don't work for you , Mike says I don't wanna work for you , yet both of them want favours from Harvey and conveniently accuse him when push comes to shove. How cute
smh my head
nah they're chill
It's not the same. Mike isn't using that for emotional manipulation. He genuinely wants to pursue a different type of law career and he's honest with Harvey
Shows how annoying Harvey is in his real life. Harvey is very annoying.
Not so much Mike. Mike is very upfront about everything. Donna, on the other hand, well....
Every opportunity Anita Gibbs tried to prove Mike was a fraud just gave him another opportunity to prove why he is a competent lawyer despite not having the required qualification lol
Is Mike a competent lawyer without actually being one or is there more to being an attorney than merely thinking on your feet?
@@kevinphillips150 no anita is just a horrible prosecutor
@@eyro2791 Yeah, Anita is a terrible prosecutor. Even the jury foreman said so, which is why they were going to vote not guilty.
If I was the chairman of this comitee and some replacement was stepping over my position just for her personal vendetta and getting reputation...at the 2nd hearing, that woman wouldn't dare to speak another word...
the chairmen in this case though was being leveraged by harvey so he probably didn't want to show his hand lol
Fun fact: In real life, Anita Gibbs could be kicked off the committee by judicial review. In other words, Mike could go to court and argue that Gibbs was clearly biased, and the court would order a fair hearing without Anita Gibbs present.
the chairman is having fun, he's jumping at every opportunity to extend this
Mike Took a stand, failed
Rachel did, failed.
Dr Julius, failed.
Finally JESSICA PEARSON SUCCEEDED.
Failed isn't the word. They compounded efforts, making Jessica's appearance the last straw.
That eye movement at 3:50 is insane.
Wow I'm speechless, this was outstanding well played character
Could have her removed for conflict and bias in front of an actual judge and call it a day.
I've watched 5 times Suits and by now I know the dialogues by hard.. But after watching these videos I wanna watch it again and again!
I know what you mean. Because of these clips I ended up watching the entire series.....again🤦🏾♀️
by HARD? What?
@@christiangonzales3903 He meant heart
@@silvervortex2441 How could he have typed "hard' instead of "heart"?
I'm going to guess English isn't his first language.
Out of interest, what's your second language?
I still don't understand the motive of Anita for coming after Mike over and over, I know that she wants to go after Jessica or Harvey, but they didn't have history, or I just missed something...
She comes after Mike because it's her only way of getting to Harvey
I think it's Jessica she's after because she stops once she gets her.
So let me get this straight, she abuses her power to hunt Mike like a bloodhound and then takes advantage of the clearly corrupt system of the character and fitness committee (a member can just appoint his replacement when he leaves, seriously?), but Mike is the bad guy here because of his unethical behavior?
welcome to the law system
It happens a lot in this show. Mike constantly breaks the law, but he has a moral tantrum anytime anyone else does it
Fun fact: In real life, Anita Gibbs could be kicked off the committee by judicial review. In other words, Mike could go to court and argue that Gibbs was clearly biased, and the court would order a fair hearing without Anita Gibbs present.
@@ghostking6838 ü08li
welcome to the American judicial system
Idk how Anita Gibbs remained on the board seeing as she had little knowledge of precedents and articles and is blatantly biased. She should’ve been kicked out immediately
I like the way they go in citing the laws and precidents which were never been cited before.....hats off to the writers....and this is the reason i love suits ..it makes lively...
Anita Gibbs is the embodiment of a gatekeeper in the legal profession who ensures it is kept as tight-knit frat. Reminds me how the General Legal Council in Ghana uses schemes and tactics to determine how many are accepted into the bar every year.
From her perspective Mike was always a fraud to begin with... Regardless of whether she's right or wrong, that's not really gatekeeping. She isn't maintaining some sort of elitism, but rather what she sees as basic moral integrity.
Fun fact: In real life, Anita Gibbs could be kicked off the committee by judicial review. In other words, Mike could go to court and argue that Gibbs was clearly biased, and the court would order a fair hearing without Anita Gibbs present.
@@GeekProdigyGuy It is when she gets herself on the board just to keep Mike from winning.
@@millermichael nice copy paste. It got you exactly 0 likes. I really hope you are a bot.
I mean, is it "gatekeeping" if you're of the opinion that someone who practiced the law fraudulently for several years shouldn't be a lawyer? Because that sounds like a pretty reasonable position to me...
Anita Was Crooked Character only there ta take revenge. i loved How Julius Showed Her exact Place
0:50 I like how Mike and Harvey both get up at the same time
One thing this show really excelled at was making compelling and believable strong women.
Jessica, Scotty, Anita etc
Anita is not a strong woman, shes a woman with a grudge , nothing she did in this episode was morally correct at all, she just hates mike
@@MCShrek201 nope she was strong
@@dolebludger i actually agree with you, overall, but this clip did not display any strong characteristics
@@dolebludger she was bitter and emotional
Faye Richardson was an expert manipulator hiding behind her veil.
Hmm 🤔 I think I'm addicted to this show.
Time to rewatch it.. for the 8th time
The more I watch this, the more I realize Gibbs could not stand the air that Mike breathed
I miss this show !! 🥺
Suits is the prime example of a brilliant but criminally underrated show.
They love him, but Harvey thinks he should be their whole lives and that's weird. They want to do other things. That's fine.
That doesn't mean they can't ask for help, when they need it.
Chairman: We'll pick this up first thing in the morning, I gotta go get a drink 🍸
Okay pursuing Mike the first time was fair enough it was her job to prove him guilty but persecuting him after he's paid his debt to society seems pretty close to harassment to me especially since all he's trying to do is be able to practice the law legally now. I mean come on with all the bad people in the world she couldn't find someone more worthy of her time and energy.
She’s acting like he ran over her cat.
Should there be rule that Anita’s vote doesn’t count as she was his procecutar? It just feels wrong
Seems Mike and Rachel are smarter than Anita.
If I’m Mike, I will say to Anita,
“Paris France, 1993”
Какой гений придумал название peacock
They'll never make me HATE Terri
Excellent legal mind
couldn't Mike just practice in another state and pass the character and fitness review there?
the men on the table probably wanted to say, HEY I wrote it! or my uncle did kinda thing.
I just love how Gibbs got shut down and even made to look like an enemy at every turn here
0:49 Aunt Anita loves to be a piece of work and something will always change. She is such a BS Artist. The two of them are always in trouble.
Recording her saying "As long as I am there, you will never get my vote." and then drop the evidence "anonymously".
How about professionalism?
There is Hollywood and then there is the real world. Mike is a character that lacks what leaders are about. Starting off with integrity and then honesty. But then practicing in the legal system does not require anyone to be a leader.
Someone hurt this woman very badly in the past for her to be this level of vindictive and awful.
Beach 🏖.
Do we regret doing what we believed was ultimately right? Is the law automatically right?
"Is the law automatically right?" Were the 1935 Nuremburg Laws "right"? Because they were the law of the land once they were promulgated. There's your answer....
No matter what others say, I liked Anita Gibbs for what she did to Mike Ross. I have always disliked him.
Who do you watch the show for if you don't like Mike? He's one of the main characters, who do you watch instead?
@@AvengedSevenfold4L I literally watch it for Harvey, Jessica and louis.
@@thegrandmagus What is it about Mike that you dislike?
@@AvengedSevenfold4L for starters me as a person hate cocky people. I still tolerate it because I can't change people but I hate him coz every single time he wants to make his case or get a client, he would throw his horrible childhood trauma on their face and use it like a special trump card to sweep them off their feet. I mean I get it, your parents died. Bad happened to you, but how does that justify you convincing Harvey, Jessica, Rachel, louis, Walter gillies, Sidwell, Shawn Cahill, Anita Gibbs, an entire jury, several judges, multiple clients, Gloria Danner, etc. and he expects to get away with it. There are so many other people in this show who are cocky like Harvey or Jessica or Robert or tanner or Cameron but i dont hate any of them.
@@thegrandmagus What version of Suits did you watch?? Cuzzzzz
Saw this arc when I was 18. And now I'm 22. Realised that Anita Gibba was right, a woman doing her job. Putting away a protagonist that we're supposed to cheer for. But he's a criminal. Deserved everything. Perspective is important.
Dude said criminal 🤣🤣🤣
Well, putting him in jail for a crime is within her job, hunting him after that is NOT her job.
@@ssu7653 It makes her come off as Petty.
come on son
She went after him because she wants to take down harvey specter as a trophy. She feels no regret towards putting him away because he's a criminal, yet she only did it for personal gain
I dont like her at all
A Karen with power
