In the late 70's or very early 80's I got a chance to buy one of these but with Simons forks......what was the matter with me? I didn't buy it. I guess the fact that we had 3 small children had something to do with it......boy, I woulda, coulda,, xhoulds. It was absolutely complete. I was in Wyoming at the time. What a beauty it was!
The TT500 engine has a growl you cant forget - the XT and TT bikes had me in awe back then as they ripped down backwoods roads. The 4 Stroke rumble set them apart.
I am currently building my take on a HL 500, I have built the whole bike Frame, swing arm, fuel tank, Conrod, exhuast etc with a very much modified 500 engine its only days away from its first fire up after a 2 year build
