Great video a real gem. I beleive this is "68 when they very briefly used on Paddington to Birmingham.route . But teliability soon caught up wih them. Ive seen pictures of Undaunted in BNS at this tome as well. Spotting ias a kid from the early 80,s seeing Warships in BNS seems like a ufo has landed. The only things missing from this film is sound. But a gem of film thanks for sharing.
Brilliant! Had seen the Strongbow clip before which was always very close to home for me as I copped my first warship at BNS in November 67 and it was Strongbow. But to see Pathfinder and Swift too …. Thank you so much for sharing!
Great sights, i can remember the royal naval reserve at worcester shrub hill as a young child and was facinated by the nameplate for some reason. i dont suppose you recorded any pulmans at new street, i can remember my dad taking me on the train to new street in a dmu and as we were arriving i saw one leaving, in the grey and white livery. the rest of the time dad and i were there and nothing interesting showed up?
I was a trainspotting nipper in the mid - late 1960's and never saw any of the 'Warships' when they were operating in the 1960's. Many years later, on a train passing through Derby I had my only sighting of the type at RCD, long after my spotting days had finished. However, it did instill a sense of wonder even then!
Thanks for posting the video, I recall seeing warships at BNS in the very early 70's, I was always and always will be a hydraulic fanatic, it was apleasure to see them but omg what a truly awful external state they were in. Warships and Hymeks would appear having come up from Worcester mostly with parcel stock, and Westerns would appear from Paddington via Bicester & Banbury. In the late 60's on holiday in Devon, I saw many hydraulics at Exeter, Newton Abbot and Paignton. Halcyon days indeed...........
Even thought I was "spotting" at New st at the time the Warships were being seen there, I never saw one. But, one rolled up on an empty cartic at "Wash Yer feet" I stood for ages in the rain on Bromford lane over bridge waiting for it to drop down so I could get the number, it didn't, so I was bowled out. In the early 70s it wasn't unusual to see a Western on the same/similar turn, or even to see them light running thru Bromford. Great Vid... Thanks for sharing!
Great stuff, though some sound would be nice. Some of the NBL warships were allocated briefly to Bescot for maintenance (1968/9?) though not Tyseley the ex WR depot.

Nice. Saw them regularly on the Waterloo exeter workings in the early 70's
Ah yes Strongbow. The snappy cider ad with the two arrows 😊

Sorry to mention but although used on Paddington to Bns. They where routed in Marylebone due to relsying track work at Paddington
Superb
Thanks 🤗
Wow! Apart from 818 at Swindon works (before they cut it up in a hissy fit) I've never seen one.... I really wish I had
Excellent, thanks for sharing 👍
Thank you! Cheers!

67 IIRC
Interesting that the 43s went into oblivion but one 42 survived.
Wow, that's epic!
Great to see a few there in the proper colours and not the horrible blue.
Superb!
Great stuff.
Thanks!
0:15 Wait, not the cider class? 🍻
